Huge district game this weekend in Columbia between these two teams. Adair comes in 3-0 but their last two games have been cut short at halftime due to weather. Franklin Simpson had a surprising 36-22 loss to Allen County-Scottsville last Friday. These teams had a great showdown last year where Franklin prevailed 27-20. Franklin is led by the RB duo of Mcpherson and Anderson and an athletic QB in Decker. Adair may be a man down as new QB Easton Jessie awaits an MRI on a knee injury. Would be a big loss for the Indians but they would move RB Lane Grant back to Qb which he played all of last year and had 20 rushing TD's and 15 passing TD's. I look for this to come down to the wire and the battle of the trenches to be the deciding factor as both teams have some very good skill players.

I hate that for Easton but where there’s smoke there’s fire I doubt they would be doing a MRI if something wasn’t wrong. Hopefully it’s just a sprain and he can get back at some point and time this season.

I already thought this would be a close game before FS lost to ACS. I would have picked FS by a TD probably.  Now I would favor Adair slightly but if Jessie can’t play I don’t know what to think. Grant at QB was still pretty good last year against FS. This is a toss-up as far as I’m concerned but I will stick with my Wildcats 28-27. Hopefully ACS lit a fire under FS but we will see.

Huge game, especially with the opposite district looking stronger this year than last. I think you'd feel better about your playoff prospects this season with a first round game at home. Whoever wins this game will take a big step toward that home game while the loser is likely looking at round one road trip to Union County, Hancock County, or McLean County.

The Indians have a stingy defense pitching back to back shutouts, not the greatest of competition but I do know Caverna has some speed and they were unable to cross the goal line once nor even break 100 yards offensively. However this Franklin Simpson team can run the football very well and score some points.

Possibly no Easton Jessie means a large dose of Lane Grant, which is fine but the more the merrier never hurt anybody, and being limited with his absence can really put a damper on what they’re trying to accomplish. Warren Central had nearly 400 yards against this Wildcats defense in wk 2, and while they let up 36 points last week in the box score they were creating turnovers, just seemed they were getting in untimely situations when their offense would turn it over, even out gaining the Patriots in yards last week.

Think Adair County is catching the Wildcats at the wrong time, should still be a good game but it’s hard for me to believe that Franklin Simpson will drop this one after an upsetting loss.

FS 22 AC 6

Adair losing Jessie is a big hit to Stonebraker's passing attack, BUT having Grant slide over and play the position he played last year is a huge bonus.  IMO, this game will come down to the trenches, and I believe FS wins that battle and wins the game.

FS wins the toss and defers.

18 yard TD run for Lane Grant. He is playing running back tonight. AC leads 7-0 at 9:50 in first.

Go Indians!

FS gets a couple of first downs but then punts it out of the end zone. AC starts at the 20.

AC punts to FS 44

FS pass intercepted by Aiden Smith and returned to the FS 30.

Grant 5 yard TD run. PAT blocked. Indians lead 13-0 with 33 seconds to go in the first.

AC tried one drive with Grant at QB and went 3 and out. With Smith at QB and Grant at RB, they have scored twice.
