SR Guard for Adair County Connor Loy reached the 3,000 point mark last night in Adair's 5th region championship win over North Hardin. Loy is the all time scoring leader at Adair County and also the 5th region player of the year.

Adair will look to go back to back as region champions and are coming off a tough win over Caverna last night 56-49. North Hardin pulled what some will call an upset last night over year long ranked Green County. North Hardin really can shoot the ball from 3 and have multiple kids who can hit shots. Adair has the 5th region player of the year in Connor Loy who had 23, 10 and 10 last night. This is a throwback of sorts as it is a rematch of the 2009 5th Region Championship which also took place at Marion County.

Green will have the size advantage vs North Hardin. North should have the shooting advantage based on their stats from this year. A lot will depend on who controls the pace. If its more halfcourt it favors North Hardin, if its fast paced it favors Green.

Adair keeps their hopes of back 2 back region championships alive with an opening round win. Central Hardin came out early and took a 14-5 lead but Adair responded with a great defensive second quarter to be up 1 at halftime. Second half was all Indians led by Isaiah Cochrans 21 points and 13 rebounds, while Brayton Coomer added 15 points. Adair will now get Caverna in the semifinals Monday March 17th. Adair won the previous meeting in February 63-48 at Caverna.

Indians win first district title since 2018 and beat Taylor for third time this season. Isaiah Cochran was named District tournament MVP after averaging 20 points and 6 rebounds for the 2 games.

Caverna takes down Larue County on their home court ending Larue's run of 8 straight district titles and trips to the region tournament.

arguably the worst offensive game of the season from Adair but their defense was very solid to help them get the win.

Indians with a nice region road win at a tough place to play against an athletic and physical Caverna team. Region player of the year Connor Loy led the way with 24 for the Indians.

Adair gets revenge on an earlier loss to Russell County as they showed up to play tonight and it was never in doubt. Russell had came in riding a huge upset win over ranked Clinton County last night.

Really physical and well played basketball game in Columbia tonight by the defending 4th and 5th region champs. Adair missed a shot at the buzzer to send it to overtime.

District is at Larue. Larue was also without Jagger Mardis their second leading scorer.

Indians keep rolling and make it 10 straight. Connor Loy continued his stellar play with 24 points 8 rebounds and 10 assist and Isaiah Cochran added 22 points.

Adair has won 9 straight and look to be starting to click for the stretch run just as they did last year. Loy has been incredible recently. Hes averaging 25 ppg in his last 5 games and is shooting 60% from the field as a point guard, while also leading the state in assists.

So Larue plays at Caverna Friday, if Caverna wins Green is the 1 seed. If Larue wins Friday and then beats Green Tuesday then Larue is the 1 seed.

Much closer game than the score indicated. Was a 3 point game at half and single digits going to the 4th. Free throws near the end added up. Believe the 2nd meeting at Larue next week will be another good one.

Indians sweep the regular season series with rival Taylor County, this game was much closer than the 30 point Indians win the first go around. Taylor came out hot making 8 3's in the first half. Adair was efficient all night long though and it was a very well played game by both teams with only a combined 5 turnovers. Isaiah Cochran and Connor Loy led the Indians with 21 and 19 points respectively.

Indians bounce back after shocking loss to Russell County. Loy went for 28 and Cochran for 30 to lead the way.

Green County is about to have an uptick in competition starting with Woodford. Pretty sure they only have 1 win over a team with a winning record and that's Butler.

Great bounce back win by the Indians after losing a halftime lead to North Oldham in game 1. Isaiah Cochran led the way with 22 followed by Brayton Coomer and Dawson Gilbert with 15 a piece. Connor Loy stuffed the stat sheet with 7 points, 6 rebounds and 12 assist.

This will be Adair's first KOB appearance since 2008 when they won the Consolation bracket. Adair should have an experience advantage in this one as they play 7 seniors and 1 junior. A lot will depend on if they can run North Oldham off of the 3 point line.

Going to really see what Adair is made of this week heading to King of the Bluegrass. Play 8th region power North Oldham to start off and await either Trinity or South Laurel in game 2. Adair comes off a big win over top 15 ranked Bowling Green so this could be the chance for them to rack up some wins against elite competition.
