  1. Adair County has a nice place for a regional but they fall a few hundred seats short of being able to host one as their capacity is 2000. Green Co. for example nearby gets to host the 5th region and they only hold 2300-2400.
  2. First trip to Rupp Arena for Adair since 2009. Junior Isaiah Cochran led the way for Adair today with 29 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assist. Adair will face the champion from Region 1 Marshall County.
  3. This should be a good one. These teams have not met this year and are both hungry to be back in a regional final. Adair last made one in 2017 losing in what most would call an upset to Taylor County by 1 point. North Hardin has not made the regional finals since 2013 where they lost to John Hardin. Adair is led by the junior duo of 6'7 Isaiah Cochran and 6'0 point guard Connor Loy. Loy had 31 and Cochran 18 in the first round vs Washington. North Hardin is led by the senior guard duo of Shaun Boykins and Taveon Smith both averaging around 17-18 ppg. North Hardin is going to want this to be fast paced and to force turnovers. Adair can do a little of both they average 72 ppg for the season, like to run in transition, but also do not mind slowing it up and running 45 seconds off the clock on offense. The team who controls the pace in this one will win to me. If it gets to 70's it favors North Hardin, if it's in the 50's and 60's it favors Adair.
  4. Indians advance to the region semifinals for the first time since 2018. Juniors Loy and Cochran led the way with 31 and 18 points each. Adair will meet North Hardin Friday night.
  5. Taylor County and Bethlehem could be a sneaky close game first round. Taylor won 71-64 at Bethlehem 2 weeks ago
  6. anyone with predictions for these games?
  7. 4th Region should be on Stfanclub.com which is The Sporting Times out of Bowling Green
  8. NFHS will have the 5th region at Green County. GNG Productions on Facebook will broadcast any games Washington County and Bethlehem play in.
  9. Adair led by 9 with around 4 minutes to go. Taylor made a few 3's, Adair had a technical which gave Taylor two extra points, and Adair missed a few crucial free throws.
  10. It is really crazy to think about that Central Hardin has yet to make a state tournament being a school with 1900 students.
  11. 4 Seed Hart County upset 1 Seed Green County last night in the first round on Green's homecourt 64-57.
  12. If this shows how quick this game changed Adair led 23-22 midway through the second quarter but was down 40-23 at halftime
  13. Adair led much of this game but Central took over in the 4th with offensive rebounds and 6-8 points in the game off OB unders. Neither team turned the ball over much and both teams played solid defense for the most part. This was a good game between two really good teams.
  14. Easton's parents are from Adair and recently moved back there and his dad owns a business there. Adair also has apparently added 2 offensive line transfers one being from Burkesville and the other from the Somerset/Mccreary area. Have heard a 3rd could be on the way.
  15. Adair County takes down consensus top 20 Woodford County today at the Ed Stepp Classic. They was led by 3 juniors Isaiah Cochran with 21, Connor Loy with 20, and Brayton Coomer with 18.
  16. Sounds like some good games at Woodford tomorrow. Harrison County vs Tates Creek at 4:30 ET Bryan Station vs Manual at 6:15 ET Adair County vs Woodford County at 7:30 ET
  17. Adair improves to 15-3 after a tough rivalry win on the road in what was a heated game. Taylor led at halftime by 3 but Adair got up as many as 15 in the second half then Taylor cut it to as low as 5 in the 4th quarter. These two very well may meet again in the district tournament.
  18. Adair County is 14-3 this year and will return 7 of their top 8 players including 6'7 Isaiah Cochran who averages 16 ppg, point guard Connor Loy who averages 17 ppg, and 6'6 Brayton Coomer who averages 11 ppg. Cochran has multiple D1 offers and Loy has a D1 offer from Mcneese State. The lone rotation player they lose from this year averages 3 ppg off the bench. Their returning top 7 next year will consist of 6 seniors and 1 junior
  19. Great game between two of the 5th regions top teams last night in the 2A section 4 championship. Larue came out blazing hot with 4-5 3's in the first quarter and led as much as 19-8. Adair cut into the lead in the 2nd but Larue was still up 35-24 at halftime. In the second half Adair turned up the pressure and outscored Larue 14-4 in the 3rd quarter and the game came down to the final play as Adair missed a 3 for a chance to win. Both of these teams will have great chances to cut down the nets to go to Rupp come March.
  20. Two of the top teams in the 5th region will meet Saturday night at 6:00 CT at Russell County High School with a trip to the 2A State tournament in Owensboro on the line. Adair is #1 in the 5th region in RPI with a 12-1 record while Larue is 6th with a 9-6 record. Larue is as hot as anyone thought. To give an idea of some of the top teams each have played Adair has wins over Taylor County and Etown. Larue has wins over Taylor County, Washington County, and North Laurel and close losses to North Hardin, Frederick Douglass and Desales. Notable Stats: -Both teams shooting over 50% from the field and 40% from 3 point line -Larue is led by 6'5 Daniel Allen averaging 22 mpg, 6'2 Jagger Mardis 18 ppg, and 6'5 Landon Blakey's 11 ppg -Adair is led by 6'0 Connor Loy averaging 17.8 ppg, 6'7 Isaiah Cochran 17 ppg, and 6'6 Brayton Coomers 11 ppg
  21. Larue wins this clash of two of the top teams in the 5th and advance to play Adair in the 2A sectional finals on Saturday at Russell County.
  22. Adair improves to 12-1 and advances to the 2A Section Finals Saturday night vs Larue County.
  23. Totally different teams here Douglas very athletic while Larue relies more on shooting.
