This is the first game of the King of the Bluegrass at Fairdale Wednesday at 4:30 as Adair County takes on North Oldham.

Should be a very competitive game but I will take Adair County in this one.

This will be Adair's first KOB appearance since 2008 when they won the Consolation bracket. Adair should have an experience advantage in this one as they play 7 seniors and 1 junior. A lot will depend on if they can run North Oldham off of the 3 point line.

I'm here and we are 15 minutes until tip off for the first game of the 2024 King of the Bluegrass. This will be my first game of 20 over the next five days as I'll be here covering every game.

Blaine Bardin for Adair County has been huge off the bench. He is 4 for 4 on threes and has 12 points to lead all scorers.

North Oldham has opened the second half on a 7 to 0 run. Adair County leads 36 to 35 with 5:44 to go in third.

4 minutes left in third quarter and North Oldham has taken control in this one and lead 45 to 38. They have outscored Adair 17 to 2 this quarter.

Just a absolute dominating quarter for the Mustangs. Coach David Levitch made some great adjustments and sophmore Tommy Gregg had a great quarter. At end of third North Oldham leads 52 to 45.
