Adair County 42 Franklin Simpson 7

This had to be the biggest shocker I have seen as an Adair County football fan and arguably the best game I have ever seen them play. They came out and dominated from the start and this is without QB Easton Jessie who was lost to a knee injury last week. Coach Stonebraker surprised many and moved WR Aiden Smith to QB and left RB Lane grant at his natural position instead of moving back to QB which he was last season. Grant looked like the best player in the district tonight with 4 offensive TDS and 1 fumble return for a touchdown. If Adairs line of scrimmage keeps doing what it did tonight then this could be a 9-1 or 10-0 type of season.

Congrats to Adair County and Coach Stonebraker!

You too @ACfan4 and thanks for info.

Not necessarily surprised by the result but would have never predicted a margin this wide. Great win for Adair County and Stonebraker!

Adair has it rolling this season! Congrats to the Indians!

Did not expect this sort of response from the Wildcats after a loss last week, tip of the hat to the Indians, nice win!

I was surprised at how big Adair County was. I don’t have the listed heights and weights for both teams but when I first got there I noticed that AC had at least 5 or 6 players bigger than our biggest. I heard on the radio feed that number 70 I think it was for AC was 6’2” and 360. FS couldn’t do anything with him. They also were just as fast if not faster than FS. They totally shut down our sweep plays which almost never happens. FS had 6 turnovers the last I heard just after halftime. They were flat as a board last week and even worse this week. FS had a few injuries to contend with coming into this game but not enough that I expected this beat down. It was a smart move for AC to keep Grant at running back. You don’t need to throw it much when you can give it to him behind that line. If Jessie is able to return they may still be better off just feeding it to Grant for the most part. Just total domination by the Indians and my hat’s off to them. FS should beat Butler County in the district but that’s probably all they will do. Very disappointing. Good luck to Adair the rest of the way, I think they are going to have a special season. Their game against Hart County will be huge.
