The main concern, IMO, is only scoring 27 points in 3 games. Something has got to give. People have got to get the job done.

I've said all alone that if we get beet by Boyd, that may be the straw... I like Tony, I like the coaching staff. I'm just not sure they are getting it done. People have complained about our line all year, giving the qbs time. I've watched enough film to know that the line, for the most part, is doing their job. Granted there are plays here and there, but they are doing well considering. I just think that there are bigger issues than coach Love's job.

As much as I would like Russell to win, I'm going to have to go with BC on this one. I know Boyd's schedule has been a little easier, but with that easier schedule comes confidence. I think Russell will correct a few things, but Boyd takes it by 8. Boyd 20 Russell 12

Can Ashland put together back to back wins against the Fighting Tigers? After coming off a victory (albeit an ugly one) at Russell, what happens next?

It was a good game. Hard to watch at times, but glad to pull it out in the end. Ratliff did a good job taking them the length of the field. I did think Adkins needed to play either in the second or third quarter. But Ratliff played a really good game.

Should be an entertaining game, but I don't see Belfry having too much trouble in this one. Good luck Pirates.

I think he forgot about Johnson Central. As well, in 3A, he forgot Russell. Not sure what's up with that.

I love this idea. I would like to see him take snaps in a wildcat formation. It was a shame that when Adkins was taking snaps, Ratliff was on the sidelines. He's too good an athlete to be on the sidelines. He needs to be on both sides of the ball at all times.

I think this will be the game Ashland puts all the pieces together and gets their first win of the season. I'll save my scoring prediction until game day.

Heard Adkins will get the nod at qb, Ratliff will be in the defensive secondary, Brown and Roberts will be in the backfield with Love and Burgess back on the O line. Could get interesting this Friday at Putnam.

Well, that was ugly. Defense needs drastic improvement. No offense, but two freshmen starting in the defensive secondary, might need to be rethought. Our D backs got burnt repeatedly all night. We never seemed to contain the outside. I know we are inexperienced, but 500 yrds of offense is tough to swallow. O line protected a lot better tonight. Ratliff gets in too big of a hurry to run. I was glad to see Adkins get a chance. First pass was a pick. I'm sure nerves played part in that. After that, he seemed very poised in the pocket. Over threw a few receivers but for the situation I thought the kid did well. Had a nice td pass. I was actually watching Lasure on that play. Great rout, the ball was thrown before he turned his head and placed right there for him. Good job on the run after the catch. Refocus, fix what needs to be fixed and get ready for Russell next Friday at Putnam.

Conley really needs to get going in this game. He was probably frustrated after the Greenup game. With a little better line play he could really put on a show against Ironton.

What were the partuculars? Who played well for both teams?

This was a very well defensively played game. This hit looked clean to me. I was in a good position to see it. And not having a dog in the fight, I hated to see the call made. That being said, the passing game for both teams need improved. I was surprised Greenup held Conley as low of a rushing performance. Well done to both defenses.
