Boyd County 65 Bracken County 61
Youngbloods replied to AndOneDad's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
I saw it live, and thought it was a charge. After seeing the video, it just confirmed what I already knew. And I despise Boyd Co. As well, the kid made the basket. It was a charge though. -

Missed free throws and lack of defense hurts. Happy they won, tough game tomorrow vs Boyd. Should be interesting. -
Ashland Paul Blazer HS Basketball

They are just not playing well. Could have, and probably should have beat a few teams so far. It just doesn't look like there're into the games. One parent said that the coach is always on them. I've listened to a number of games. Seems like a lack of hustle. As a coach, when a team wins, the kids get all the credit. When you loose, it's the coaches fault. That's not what I've heard. The coach always seems to blame the players. Today, Dicky said only 3 starters scored and one of them only had 4 points. They got beat by 19 tonight by a Louisville DeSales team that they probably could have beaten. -

Johnson Central 51 Ashland 0

Congrats to Johnson Central. Wow, what a team. Just wondering why Ashland didn't try changing things up a little in the 2nd half. Obviously nothing was working. Great job guys, now go take it all. -
Ashland/Johnson Central Updates
Youngbloods replied to swamprat's topic in KY Football (High School)
The most fireworks on the Ashland side, beside the ones going off when JC scores, was when a few fans in the Ashland stands got into a shouting match with the Ratliffs telling them to, "... Why don't you all just stay in Paintsville." Arguments stated and got pretty heated. -

Game day! Let's see what we can do. We win, we play at Putnam next Friday. Hope we can pull off the upset. -
4A Playoffs: Johnson Central vs. Ashland
Youngbloods replied to 15th Region's topic in KY Football (High School)
As much as I want to see Ashland play Thanksgiving week, I think that the football players that play basketball will be suiting up come next Monday. Johnson Central is just too strong for Ashland to handle. I hope they prove me wrong, I really do. I just don't think it's going to happen. I do, however, think Ashland puts up more than just 6 points this meeting. -
Ashland vs. Bourbon County Predictions (4A Round 2)

Game day! Cats should win this one, thought it will be a tough, cold one in Paris. Ashland 28 Bourbon Co 21 -

Mason County vs. Ashland (4A Round 1)
Youngbloods replied to LRCW's topic in KY Football (High School)
I know Mason Co's record is 4-6, but do they have any threats that the Cats need to be aware of? I saw on KHSAA that they have passes for 900+ yards, but only one qb was listed with only 700+ yards passing... Not sure what the issue is. -

Great news! Good job young man. Shows what a great work ethic looks like. -
I was told by Dicky and Mark Swift that, "You have to come to school to play."

Good win for the Cats going in to post season.

Game day. I hope TC will bring a good crowd with them to Putnam Stadium tonight. Should have good football weather this evening. It will be a tough task beating this TC team, however with the injury to their qb, I think the Tomcats pull this one out in a close one. Ashland 28 Tates Creek 21- 42 replies

For the longest time, Ashland had an open date for the last weekend in the season. I just noticed that Trinity has an open date this week.

Very good question...

All I'm saying is that it would have helped a little last year. Same "far from a physical team" that we played last year.- 42 replies

Youngbloods replied to DragonFire's topic in KY Football (High School)
So, does anyone know if Ashland is going to sit their starters? That will play a big roll in my decision making. Not to say that I'm going to root for TC, it's just that I believe it will be a more competitive game. Someone mentioned to me the other day that Roberts and one of the Wright brothers have not practiced due to injury. In info on that as well?- 42 replies

So, my questions is, does Ashland make the same mistake twice, or do they sit most of their starters?- 42 replies
