Congrats to this young man. Toledo has been very active lately. Got a commit from a nice WR up in Springboro too. They saw my son at a UC camp and asked him come up to Toledo for their camp in June. Called and offered him 15 minutes later on the way home from camp.

Ryle has 3 solid OL with experience (Chase Ross - Sr, Ryan Princepata - Jr and Parker Bisek - Jr). That will leave 2 spots to fill. On the DLine, don't be surprised if it is a Platoon with guys coming in and out. The three OL above may get multiple series on DLine as well.

not all left. 4 teams left. Ryle ended up playing 9 games so they got a lot of work in. Yes if the other teams stayed it could have changed the results. But Ryle played all the games they were scheduled for. No it doesn't mean they are the best, but they played well and won 9 games. Plenty of kids got work, they beat the heat, ultimately making them stronger. Good trend to start the practice schedue. That's good enough for me.

Glad to hear that KE is playing for Ryle. Heard he was considering playing elsewhere. Next year he will be lined up with what will be a Senior RB Jake Chisholm. I'm smiling thinking about that. Hopefully the offense will turn from a pass first to a run first. Tanner Morgan will be gone, so putting he ball in those two hands will be a good move offensively. Having England in Union is exciting. I'm a fan of his parents too. Just an added bonus, his mother sings like an angel and graced us with the National Anthem from time to time : )

It's gonna come down to line play on both sides of the ball. On O Line Senior Chase Ross has 3 years experience. Two Juniors had starting experience last year. Each with half a season of starts as Sophs. D Line graduated a lot. RB's, WR's, QB, LB's and DBs are solid. Kicker doesn't miss much.

The kid is a great QB, but to say he is better than Morgan is unfair. I could be wrong, but you might be only looking at measurables. Morgan has 77 career Touchdowns and almost 7700 passing yards. Has a chance to surpass 10,000 career yards. Not many QB's in KY have done that.

with the exception QB, college coaches pay very little attention to stats. They shouldn't be concerned. Spread the wealth Mr. QB. The best stat is wins, right?

He's got to be 12' off the ground and the concentration mid air ??? !!!??? Wow, its amazing what teenagers can do nowadays. If this kid pins that pic to his twitter and makes this his Hudl profile, he'll get offers based on a picture.

I know for certain the 1st place individual finisher didn't practice Prior to and he won 4 of the 5 events. So it doesn't seem like the case. I know first hand what his off season schedule incorporated.

Ryle wins their 2nd round game vs Daltan GA Catamounts 22-20. Offensive scores from Morgan to WR Bryce Ashley. D holds off a close one for the W. BTW, anyone know what a Catamount is?

Lol, You'd think, but dead period. 1st and 2nd place Lineman were on camp circuits June and July, but do put in a lot of extra effort in the off season. I play chauffeur for one of them : )

7 v 7, I believe L'ville Male was 1st, Ryle 2nd, Highlands 3rd. Lineman Challange, Ryle was 1st, Highlands 2nd, Ryle (additional team) 3rd. Ryle also took 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th individually in the Lineman Challenge. The 1st place finisher won 4 out of the 5 events.

At Ryle today 7v7 went 1st - L'ville Male 2nd - Ryle 3rd - Highalnds. I believe Ryle took 1st and 3rd in the Lineman Challenge as a team and took 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th places individually (Lineman Challenge)

Per his twitter, Adam Kunkel received his first offer from Central Arkansas the other day. Congrats to him and his parents, Patti and Greg. Great Player, Great Parents !!

Love love love watching that Kunkel kid play. Great kid, great family !! Instant offence, just add water. Underrated Defense as well. Sullivan at Cooper will always demand more on defense until these kids leave as seniors. I'd put Kunkel at 6' 3" mayby even taller by now. If he gets 6'5" or 6'6" like his dad. With those balls skills and shot, no reason why some one won't pick him up. Who ever it is will get a steal. Basketball IQ through the roof.

Took my incoming Junior son to UC this past Saturday. The UC coaches pulled him out at the end of the camp along with 2 WR's (my son is an OL) They had the 3 of them run 40's for all the coaches there along with the other college coaches attending. So it was basically a bunch of coaches watching 3 kids run 40's. This supports your "Eye Catching" theory. If you are at the camp and the kid catches a coaches Eye, that is a great thing for that kid. As a result, they told my son you are now on our radar. At the Purdue camp yesterday, the OLineman coach pulled him out at the end and told him that his technique was solid and that it appears he was well coached as a result of the technique. Asked him if he had any offers. My son replied, "no sir." Coach told him, don't worry. If you keep on this path and keep improving, they will come. Long story short. You can catch their eyes and they look for athleticism and speed. They can tell how well you are coached as well. Camps are worth it in my opinion to get on radars. Small step, but a necessary step.

My opinion when it comes to 40 times differ in regards to college recruiting. This came from a strength coach I met at one of the camps my son attended. 40 times help kids in regards to recruiting only from an eye opening stand point. If a kid jumps out with a good 40 the coaches will notice, maybe pull that kid aside and have him run for them individually. The strength coach did admit this really holds true for OL/DL/TE/LB/DB. RB and WR he mentioned that speed plays a more major role in recruiting, WR for separation speed, RB for speed hitting the hole. As for the other players, the 40 time opens their eyes, gets them interested. But then the body frame and film take over as being more important than the 40 time. The strength coach said, "We can teach them to run, but we're more interested in adding muscle, weight and athleticism" This was just one coaches opinion, but he seemed real genuine.

Per an instagram post floating around, Bummed to hear about Will Parks (SK RB - 2018) ACL surgery, likely to miss season. Really good player. I hope he recovers for a solid Senior season. Good Luck young man !!

The other poster is correct. For $850, you can send him to 17 college camps as they are typically $50 each.

My opinion differs than most regarding camps, combines and showcases in regards to recruiting services, colleges or training facilities (showcases). College camps are a must and should be the 1st choice/priority. Certain combines like the Nike+ are invitation only and a coach recommendation is needed. This combine is very good. Give you a good comparison as to where your child compare to others, even big time prospects. As far as the recruiting services Like NUC, NCSA, even the USA Football that you are considering. Even the Showcases. I'll gladly pay $60-$90 for a day long (half day) long showcase to have my kid off the Xbox. They get to line up on 1 vs 1 and get punched in the face for a few hours. I use it for that experience only, not college exposure. For that you need college camps. Lets face it, The competition at all of these are way better than going against your teams 3rd string scout team players. Way better than being on xbox all day.
