  1. Hard to tell. They've played a really bad schedule that makes it tough to judge. Playing close games with a very down Frankfort, Holmes and Nicholas County makes me think they have no shot.
  2. I've seen the other top rated QBs in the area. As a HS QB he throws the prettiest and most accurate ball. Every ball is a perfect spiral and usually hits the receiver in stride. Other stats: Slusher 2 catches 88 yds 44 per Stringer 4 carries 148 yds 32 per Justice and Castleman both becoming huge weapons outside of the big 3. The addition of Kyle Rowe to the OL after injury was the glue they needed. This team is becoming tough to scheme
  3. Yea, they tried the whole tough guy thing last week early with Beechwood. Didnt work out so well for them.
  4. He had 49 yards through then and I believe HC trailed. Gave them the opp to give the ball to Barnes which they should be doing anyhow. He is a playmaker with game changing speed.
  5. Wasnt at this one, but I agree. IMO England is a top 5 back in NKY, and they refuse to ride him. Makes me feel like a back room deal was made with Morgan to get him to Ryle
  6. Very tough to gauge after this one, but my observations heading into NCC and playoffs -If there is a better freshman in the area than Logan Castleman I want to see him -Kyle Fieger is really good. Incredibly accurate -Ethan Stringer is a monster running the football. Very fast, and can get the tough 5 yarder if needed. They've also started playing him on D at LB. if there is a faster LB combo than he and Slusher I have not seen it -Since the start of the season the adds of Rowe on the line, Stringer at LB and Cottingam on D are huge. -Trevor Soward has adjusted to varsity football and is really playing well -Justin Overstreet is big and nasty This team has made great strides since game 1. They are poised to make a deep run, and for the first time all year I think they are a real contender to go to BG
  7. Give it to him 30 times and they may have a shot. Try to win by throwing it they get blown out.
  8. Playing possum again?? I'm guessing the real NCC shows up next Friday and it's a classic.
  9. Why respond to that? Just his user name explains his purpose here. Scott wins this one going away
  10. I live in Florence. I consider myself a part of Northeastern Southern Kentucky
  11. Self proclaimed championship if so. There is a little team in Ft Mitchell that can't get anyone to play them.
  12. The squirrel is picking on the chipmunk again. Play someone
  13. A Newport highlight. Solid. I will assure you are the first to do that. Was a Dayton highlight not available?
  14. Not too far from reality. Other than a 2a school in CAL and Cooper, who have they played? And I think they only scored 27 vs Cooper? Until SK starts playing real competition they are the HS version of the Bengals. Show us you belong come playoff time by beating someone you aren't supposed to beat.
  15. Should not matter. Skinner writes for the Enquirer but is a NKY guy and is more than qualified. He should have a vote.
  16. To say that Newport is down is an understatement. If NCC doesn't have a running clock by halftime I would be surprised
  17. University of South Florida-USF-is in Tampa, so not all are geographically sound. I would consider BG west though. Why no NKy writers? Why so few? IMO that poll is even more useless that the NCAA AP poll.
  18. Slusher no. Stringer yes. Slusher had a couple big runs out of the wildcat.
  19. Nice. ABU also just signed a really good MIF from CHCA Cam Murray, a Midland kid. He's there now.
  20. Great job Evan. Congrats and good luck. No idea why I quoted myself. Oops.
  21. That's a nice conference. Is TNU the team to beat there? Being in Nashville gives them a huge advantage baseball wise. They also seem to be a very strange fit geographically.
  22. Sure they have. They played BW, and did a nice job. Tigers had a couple pick 6s and took advantage of a couple other TOs to make the score look far more lopsided than it was. They by no means ran and threw it all over the field. Against HC BW could have score 70 and I'm not sure they punted. With the exception of QB Lloyd matched the Tigers skill for skill, the only team all year that was even close in that department. Lloyd had some hosses on the lines, a glaring weakness for HC. By the eye test Lloyd is 3 TDs better, but they seem to self destruct and don't finish.
  23. I have seen them play twice, and could not disagree more. Just my opinion, I'm entitled to that. Carter is a nice player, but to say he's more athletic than Hicks I would have to question. My impression of SK was good D line, good secondary, weakness is speed and athleticism at LB. Will not matter in this game, they win easily which is what this thread was about, I offered my opinion as to why. Now about that Caramel corn....
  24. Lloyd is far better on the O and D line. Worth the price of admission to watch Williams and Gaines play. Very tough one to call, but I think the Juggs win. I only base that on watching both teams play BW, and I also saw the HC NCC game. I will go with 33-21
