Scott wrapped up a district title last week with their narrow win over Bourbon County, but still need a win over Holmes to seal a perfect district slate. Holmes hasn't been able to stay close to Scott since they last knocked off the Eagles in 2012 - do they have any chance to play spoiler?

I picked Scott in this one but believe it should be fairly close, no blowout. Just depends which Holmes team shows up (as is usually the case).

I believe that Scott will win this one, but if you look at the scores, Scott beat Mason County 43-7 and Holmes beat them 41-6. If the Holmes team that played against Mason County shows up I wouldn't be shocked if this wasn't a huge upset. It is also senior night, so they're playing with a chip for sure! And Holmes lost to Harrison, who Scott beat badly. Holmes also got beat by Bourbon pretty badly, who Scott beat. And Don't forget Holy Cross who Scott scored almost 60 on, who also beat Holmes.

 

The game may end up close, but my point is there are more signs that point to a big Scott win than a close game. I wouldn't predict a close game based on just the Mason County results for both teams.

I agree with you one hundred percent. I believe Scott is the better team, but will they fire all cylinders, have already won the district? I don't see why they wouldn't, but it is a possibility. I think the score has potential to be close, with maybe a Holmes victory. Is it a longshot that they win? I believe so. I think Holmes needs to make a statement on the first offensive drive to set the tone. Arnold may have problems with Scott's defense.

Scott is scoring 40 points a game. Holmes has one shutout thus year, against 1a Bellevue, who's been shut out a couple times. No way Holmes keeps Scott out of the end zone.

Holmes' defensive unit may be good but no way the final score will be a goose egg for the Eagles. I would expect a 40 to 46 score before a shutout. Eagles use the four headed backfield to control the game and the clock. Scott 42 Holmes 21

IMO, I believe that Holmes could pull this one away if they show the team from last wake big momentum Boost coming off the big win Vs Mason County

I think Scott wins this one but it won't be easy! I don't think the seniors from Holmes want to lose their last home game..
