Interesting footnote: He was recruited to go to AB by Coach Jake Oester (son of former Cincinnati Reds' second baseman Ron Oester).

Excellent player who should have a nice college career. What position are they projecting him at?

Middle infielder and top of order hitter (1 or 2 spot) is what I've heard they are projecting him to do.

The rumor is that GMAC wants to add four more to give it 16 total. Hopefully, they will add to the south. The current footprint leaves KWC and TNU with a lot of long road trips.

GMAC gets an automatic qualifier beginning this year.

NCAA D2 tournament expands to 56 teams this year.

GMAC Conference Tournament is played at Prasco Park in Mason. We're hoping that continues.

Yep, Prasco Park is a sweet facility! Sounds like you're in the know and I hope GMAC stays on this path, because it's shaping up to be a very good conference...

Agree with your comment on KWC and TNU too... Looks like they have a few 7 hr bus rides.. Jeez.

That's a nice conference. Is TNU the team to beat there? Being in Nashville gives them a huge advantage baseball wise. They also seem to be a very strange fit geographically.

I do believe TNU won the Conference last year and maybe the year before as well...

AB finished right there near the top in regular season, but got knocked out in tourney... If I recall, it was Ohio Valley University that knocked out AB at Prasco Park...

 

I think this conference is recruiting NKY more heavily now too... Slone is on his way to AB and I think the SS kid from Dixie (Ethan Harrison) did go to TNU.

Nice. ABU also just signed a really good MIF from CHCA Cam Murray, a Midland kid. He's there now.
