I do think that would help. I think a big part of it is population. Ky has a population of around 4 mil. Oh 11.5 Mil Ind 6.5 Mil. OH should produce many more D-1/high level player just by the numbers of kids playing HS football.

Looks to be down a bit at the D1 level. Most D1 guys will be signed On February 4th. is my count right only 25 or so D1 kids in this class out of 3,600? That's less than 1%. JUst shows how hard it is to be recruited at that level.

This is 100% true. If you don't have the speed/size. Don't matter what you do on the feild court.

Spent then weekend with a bunch of FCS recruits. WR/DB was around 5'11 170 ran a 4.45 also a DE/OLB 6'3 215 ran a 4.6. That just shows the speed needed at those spots!

D1 football is on the kids physical make up. Speed height size. Then what you do on film is 2nd. I believe you could show up at a camp 6'4 220 run a 4.6 and get an offer and not even be on the varsity team. I think Zeek Pike had offers at QB without throwing one pass.

I remember a BW fan telling me that he was a TE. The 2 BW games I saw he never played TE... FB/slot.
