Sounds like a very smart kid. This will take him much further in life than playing football. Take the best school he can get into for free. Unless money isn't an issue. Like many have said why can't he play D3 ball. Lots of small school with very good educations. Find a d3 with theme program he likes and talk to the football coach. I'm sure you can email him call him. lots of D3 have 140 + kids on roster some have JV teams.

Also two days before N.S.D. Western ky showed up at school. Offered a PWO with a schorship if everything worked out. This is with almost 0 contact with WKU. This was out of left feild. Never invited to a camp or one email response from WKU.

Stick to the one day school camps. If you have great HS film and FBS/FCS size speed for your position get your film out to as many school as possible. Then go to the schools with personal invites to camp. Make sure you get the cell phone number of the coach that invited you. Call him the day before let him know you will be at the camp. Two FCS schools from NY came to NKY to watch my son at HS practice. They had never heard of or new anything about NKY. Both teams offered. They ask him to come to their camps. I wasn't driving to NY so they came to NKY. If a team has you high on the list of top players they will come and watch you. My son was offered a PWO spot at Texas State. Until they called we had had 0 contact with them. TS had never seen him in person!!

NKY coaches need to take notes from you. My son got 0 help from the HS coach. This may be because he didn't have time or didn't know what to do. Hats off to you. I remember a statement at a football banquet made by our head coach. In my years of coaching I have never had a player play D1 on schorship. well a few years later he has two.

You got to put Avery in there. Dixe may have just beat CCH without one top ten player.

Any personal contact is a good thing. Think about how many films they look at. How many emails they get everyday. Speaking of Mt St Joes. They somehow got my sons cell number and he never went to a camp or contacted them in anyway.

That's why you only go to camps with a personal invite. Yes you have to pay like every other kid but you know the school thinks your a good player. I would pick 2 or 3 dream schools to go with out an invite. The rest only if the coaches like your film and think you can play at their level. Say a kid sends his film via email to EKU. The OLine coach replies with I like your film come to one of our summer camps. Now you need to find out how much he liked the film. Coach am I a player you would recruit? You have to ask questions to find out the intrest level so you don't waste time and money.
