The thing about this is a school can offer and your HS head coach doesn't have to be involved at all. Heck offers come to players that schools have never seen in person or at a camp. Depends on how the program views you. You think schools in NY know anything about NKY football??

You want to go to camps that a coach have invited you to. If they ask we want to see you at one of our camps. Ask for their cell phone number. Most will give it out at this point. Then follow up with a call right before you go to camp.

Go to the camps of the schools he wants to play for. Ask the coaches what they think. Email your hudl videos out to the schools Muti times. heck pick up the phone and call the coaches. Phone number are on the web site. Tell them your son wants to play. Ask them to watch your film. Worked for me at the D1 level.

Maybe it's timeing. Coach B will be at Dixie after this past season as long as he likes. He has been just what Dixie needed.

Brossart's strength at Dixie is playing kids in the correct positions. Maybe this has changed for him over the past years.

Pursuing a dream is a great thing but at what cost. It makes more since to just go to NKY and save 10 of thousands of dollars.

I have been through this and found all you are saying to be 100% true. Offer PWO at FBS schools and Muti FCS full rides. Heck even a gray shirt. At the end of the day what is best for the kid school is very expensive. it's hard to walk away from free for an unknown PWO or come enroll (pay) we will put you on schorlship next spring.

You are right NAIA school. I know the numbers are close to 25% of all students at D3 are playing a sport. NAIA may be much higher than that!!

I just looked at an NAIA schools roster and 46 FR last year. Then only 23 SO and it goes down every year. I still believe many small schools use football as an enrollmemt booster. No way a program needs 46 kids in a class unless most drop off the team.

Very good info!! What's your take on a school with 156 football players and a male enrollment of only 700 boys? This is around 20% of every male student are on the FB team!

So your saying most the D2 guys on the list had D1 offers but only partial? I don't think this partial D1 thing is the norm. If a school wants a kid bad enough they will offer full.

Looks like the 9th is > SK with Cooper Dixie and Holmes with wins.

I know APs take on this. They will have 63 full ride players and then 25 or so walk on.

D2 has 36 full rides. FBS 85 FCS 63. Seems like an FCS would be able to offer more in the way of a full ride than D2.

My son plays muti sports in high school. He loves it and does pretty well at them. One of the sports has given him a free ride at a state University. Now this was never planned or something that was pushed for. 1st he does very well in school. If the grades slip your not playing what you love. 2nd he made his self better at the sport he will be playing at the next level. Going from 185lb Freshman to 235lb Senior. I think kids should play as many sports they can in high school as long as this don't hurt their grades.

100% corect D3 kids get 0 for there athletic sport. In fact numbers show they get the same grants schorlship as a normal student. Some find that hard to believe but that is what D3 is all about.
