Boone County 82 Ryle 47

Final

Coin flip will determine whether Boone or Cooper gets the #1 seed in the district.

I think this game was fairly close in the 3rd qtr. Boone was up 41-35. Evidentually they went on a 41-12 run to end the game. Stanley and Stockwell with big games for Boone.

There has to be a better way to break a tie. Total quarters won vs district opponents would be a much better option.

Boone should be #1 they beat Cooper by 20 in the 1st meeting then lost to Cooper by 10 thats how i would do it.

or by points

Boone Co. is a hard team to figure out. I saw them easily handle Cooper earlier in the year 79-59 and turn around and lose to them 61-51 later on. They beat Scott the 2nd time around 70-25 after losing to them earlier 80-65. NCC and CCH both handle them easily 75-43 and 63-49 and they lose to Beechwood 55-52. I think this team with the inside out of Stockwell and Stanley could be very dangerous to a few teams come tournament time but not just sure which team will show up.

Key to beating Boone is attacking Stockwell and getting him in foul trouble. Get him off the floor and Boone struggles big time.

I wouldn't say CCH handled Boone easily. Until Stockwell got in foul trouble in the 3rd quarter, a upset was very possible. I agree with another poster, if Stockwell is in the game, no team is safe. Boone is having a great season considering they started the season w only three players w/ any real varsity time. Not one starter from JV last season played this season. Wonder what Boone could of accomplished if some of last season players would of played this year.

Correct on CCH not handling them "easily." Boone was up 1 when Junior exited with his 4th foul.

Coin flip it is. Boone had a chance to take care of business in the 2nd meeting with Cooper who was playing without Hathorn but they had no answer for stopping McNeil who went off for 30 so they didn't get it done. Both teams have been up and down all year so both of them better step up regardless if they are playing Conner or Ryle or they will end up like Cooper did last year when Conner pulled the upset and sent Cooper home for the season.

Exactly! This time of year, the team that has talent but doesn't work hard, will go home!!

So how will this effect Cooper if McNeil is not back from his injury? I too agree that keeping Junior on the floor is a must!

Not having 19.0pts/game will have an impact. However, like not having Hathorn in the 2nd Boone game, someone will have to step up or probably what I would expect is even more emphasis on the defensive end, if that's even possible for a Coach Sully team lol. Never know, McNeil and, while it would be a longshot, Dickerson may make it back as well. On any given night, anything can certainly happen so the next couple weeks will be interesting.
