Rumors floating around that Harding will be back at Newport. Not sure how true, but if so, Newport just got THAT much better. The source(s) are usually pretty reliable.

They lost Burries and Harding but still have two top 10 region players in Miller and McGuire and White is probably a top 10/top 5 JR in the region. They’ll still have lots of talent. It’s. It like they’ve got 5 new guys. They’ll still be a top 5-6 team in the region.

How well does the smoke flavor stick to the food? Ive read mixed reviews but don’t personally know anyone with one. And since you’ve got one, I figured I’d ask.

No matter how you want to cut it, Newport is the district favorite until they’re knocked off.

According to who? Newport will again be better than Highlands and NewCath will be a battle as always.

He does and Evan is a freshman. Will definitely play some JV not sure about varsity just yet.

Miller, McGuire and White will be 3 definite starters. As for the other 2 spots I’m not sure.

It’s a tall task for the Cats. Newport will have several athletes who can play. Davis, Jackson and Porter are legitimate playmakers. Im not sure Newport as a team though can match DeSales. Would love nothing more than to see the Cats shock the state of 2A and advance. Unfortunately, I don’t see that happening.

Beechwood by a lot.

Lloyd will compete but will be overmatched year in and year out. Newport will be better than Holy Cross and in some years better than Lloyd. But ultimately, Beechwood will walk to a district title every year.

Newport, Lloyd and Holy Cross aren’t gonna provide much more competition than Bellevue, Dayton and Ludlow did.

No idea. Haven’t heard much of anything. Assuming he’s not and if he is then Coach Wynn is keeping quiet like he should. Best athlete on the field for both teams most times he steps on the field. Newport definitely needs him.
