Aside from the weekly BGP Mr. Football Watchlist, we're now offering members an opportunity to weigh in on who they think are the top 5 Mr. Football candidates. Each week, after the new watchlist is posted, I'll post a rankings thread where any and all members are welcome to vote on their personal top 5. Single player votes will not be counted. You must post a complete top 5. The deadline for voting will be Wednesday evening, at which point I'll tally up the votes and post the results. I'll post a link to the most recent watchlist for members to use as a reference for weekly and updated season statistics and results. Please use this format to vote (the following is purely an example)…

1. Wandale Robinson

2. Casey McGinness

3. Milton Wright

4. Cameron Jones

5. Gavin Spurrier

Post your top 5 in this thread. It's time to let your voice be heard!

We all know that the AP writers would never vote for a lineman, but I'll at least put on in my top 5.

if I had an actual vote Hudson would be in my top three but I know he won’t finish there. It’s also the only reason I didn’t include Jacob Lacey in my top 5.

If Wandale Robinson doesn’t win Mr. Football then after next season I’ll be done with high school football in this state.

Anyone other than Wandale Robinson winning Mr. Football is asinine.

Demarco Fishback from Frederick Douglass is a Mr. Football finalist in my opinion.

100% agree.

Anybody other than Wandale Robinson winning Mr. Football is a joke.

But then again, Rondale Moore didn't win last year.

Wandale Robinson

Casey McGinness

Milton Wright

Demarco Fishback

Gavin Spurrier

I want to say there is no way that Wandale Robinson doesn't win, but then I remember that Rondale Moore was not last years Mr. Football.

Robinson SHOULD win and it really shouldn’t even be close.

So is it politics in the Voting?

Just a to get a better understanding, Is it a 4 year collective stat or is it your senior yr stat?

I don’t think there are any guidelines given to the voters. Yes, politics are involved. Campaigning for players on websites and chat rooms does exist. Last year was good example.

It is up to each individual voter. So yes, politics come in to play. There are people who refused to vote for Rondale because folks said he lived in Indiana. Some folks believe that same sentiment happened with CJ Fredrick and him living in Ohio. Wandale Robinson lives in KY and he stayed at Western Hills when he could have transferred somewhere else so he likely checks off the good politics boxes this season.

After last Friday I'd have Wandale as number 1 on my list.
