  1. There is a thread in General Discussion. Let's use that one. Thanks.
  2. JaHearMe, how often do you play Big Blue at The University Club? I really enjoy that course.
  3. I literally just said the exact same thing. Great career and an ugly way for it to find its conclusion.
  4. Congrats to Heritage's Casey Moore who concluded his career with 13 points -- nice job. Sounds like a fun game.
  5. Unless something has changed (and one closer to the program could tell you that), CovCath's schedule is missing this game: October 26 -- at Columbus (OH) St. Charles
  6. Very well put T.D., I'm with you.
  7. Oh my -- I don't know what to say. Truly horrible news. Wow. Talk about making everything else seem so trivial and meaningless.
  8. My understanding is Buddy won't be teaching.
  9. Much better than NKYboy is letting on. Ryan is a proud man, no question, but he isn't going to let his pride get in the way if he can come back and be a resource for those kids. He was never in it for the money, he is truly in it for the kids. I think the bigger question is what are the chances that Mike swallows his pride and actually has the stomach to ask Ryan to come back. I think that is the much slimmer odds. My guess is if Mike asks, after much soul-searching, Ryan would say yes. Ryan being the bigger man makes a lot of sense to me.
  10. :thumb: :thumb: As you know, an on-again / off-again BGP'er once held that same job and left VERY big shoes to fill. :ylsuper:
  11. Kevin Listerman (*cough cough*) has accepted a Teaching Position at Colerain High School and will be the Assistant Varsity Basketball Coach. It's official.
  12. Sounds about right...and yes, I'd expect a guy that hasn't won in 5 years to have to earn his way into the Open.
  13. I didn't go through the list line by line, but yes, he'd qualify I guess (has he won in '06 or '07?). He was on the last Ryder Cup team, I get that, but I can't recall his last win. However, yes, he is a name that would surprise me to see in qualifying status.
  14. I can't believe guys with wins in the last couple of years (notably Scott Verplank and JB) have to qualify for the Open. Seems like a PGA Tour win should get you an invite.
  15. See my post in baseball forum.
  16. Congrats Josh -- you have a great family, have had a great career (in many aspects), and have a lot to be proud of. Good luck.
  17. I love Traditions. Triple Crown is nice. A course that hasn't been mentioned that for some reason I really like is Hurstbourne CC in Louisville. Of course, I'm also contractually obligated to mention that I'm a big fan of Maysville CC.
  18. Homer. Editor's note: this post has been saved for future reference.
  19. The older I get the more ambivalent I become about HHS. Therefore, if they aren't playing CovCath, I typically am okay with them winning. If they are playing an Ohio team, I'm definitely pulling for HHS. In the state playoffs I typically root for the other team because the separation in State Titles is already big enough.
  20. Is there any way they don't go 6-4?
  21. Nice; really nice. They have some different 9's, but the "main" course starts out on a reachable par 5 with bunkers in the landing area and an uphill 2nd that slightly dogs to the right. Manicured to the nines. Greens are great; but I'm not sure what kind of shape they'll be in after all of this fickle weather. You'll have a great time. Number 9 (par 4, drive over water and 2nd to a peninsula surrounded by water) is a GREAT golf hole.
  22. I predict HHS beats CCH in the regular season by 17+ and wins their Umpteenth State Title. Actually, that prediction isn't all that bold.
