Really wish South Warren or Bowling Green would move up start times. I'd really like to see both of these games... I'm sure many others would as well, it'd be great for both schools attendance wise. I'd be able to watch the Tops, Spartans, and Purples all in one day!

Gonna be hard for Shelby to do that... No one else have really caused them problems defensively. It'll only be close if Shelby can hold the SW offense from scoring. Friday will be battle of field position.

You got me. I can't stand south. I hate them with all my heart. I live less than 2 miles away from the school. Also, I've had two of my brother's sons that have gone to south at some point, one of which who played football. I've hated them ever since they built the place. Give me a break... A man is allowed to have his opinion. That's my opinion on what I think South should do. If you don't like my opinion, I frankly could care less. I pull for South, I think they have some top athletes that compete with many teams in the state, and mostly I think they have one one the top coaches in the state. My reasoning to side with BG, is because I played and graduated there. If I could pick who won each of SW's games, I'd pick South each time until they play BG (or possibly another school in the county). Sorry you get so butt hurt anytime someone shows a few facts or has your opposing view. Accept it and move on. YOU DON'T HAVE TO AGREE WITH IT. That's my point you need to learn to lose. Don't mean for this to come out complaining that south hasn't lost, cause that's not the approach I'm trying to make. But like I said previously whether you care or not, it would establish credibility and would make south a tougher opponent down the road if they scheduled championship caliber teams instead of region runner ups. John Hardin, slipped my mind and is a very good team. In my eyes, it just would make more sense to me that it would prepare south for their jump and would help them succeed quickly once they make the jump! Experience with great teams will make you better.

I'm definitely not scared of South Warren. Why should I be? I've said it before I want South to succeed years down the road, but the only way to do that is to schedule teams like Manual, X, Highlands, or one of powerhouses in the state. Experience with these type teams will not only make your teams have great experience, but great credibility as well. I am one who wants to see every school in this town do well, I'm not against the county in any way that you have pointed out for me to be. Nor, have I said I had a problem with district lines. So how about you shut up while you're jumping to conclusions. I simply made the point that FS isn't the only making these projections, as I agree with him, as do many others in the state. Doesn't mean you have to.

I'll be taking Highlands. I think this will be a great game between two great teams. But the edge with highlands because they don't have to travel and because they are on a roll. Watch out for the Pulaski County fans! They are a loud and rowdy bunch and will make you think it's at Pulaski!! Good luck to both, can't wait to watch one of these teams at WKU! HHS: 31 PC: 28

You're exactly right we wouldn't be talking about it! Mostly because there aren't classes in baseball or basketball. As for the numbers in 4A, it's not just 4A teams calling you out for it. I've heard fans in 3A, 5A, and 6A all talk about how South shouldn't be in the class they are in because of the enrollment. FS gave correct statistics, and numbers don't lie. Sometimes you have to accept the truth. And yes, they'll always be doubt in my mind on whether or not they could've beat Cov Cath or Highlands. Who really knows? I want 2 state championships to stay in BG as much as anybody, but it's kind of redicoulous not only are they in the wrong class, but don't schedule any out of district competition. You could argue Central Hardin, but that is in no way a team that is a championship caliber team after I've watched them three times this year.

No disrespect whatsoever, but was really confused behind the reasons to run the ball up the middle on the goal line when BG defense was winning the LOS in the redone all night... Felt like something better could've been called for OHS to take the lead early.

At the end of the day, the Purples showed up ready to show what they are made of. Enough can't be said about the defense, holy cow.... Offensively, it was hard to stop triple threat of Carrothers, Payne, and Wilson. This game was a lot closer than what the score reflects. Don't take anything away from Owensboro, what a great, athletic, and fast football team. Congrats on a great season, Red Devils!! Gonna start something new here.. Many say this game won't be as close as the previous game. I believe it is going to be just as good or closer. Last time the Purples were at Rash Stadium, Jamale Carrothers ran the ball all over the field and couldn't be stopped. Hope to see the same again!! It's about they pull the upset on one of these teams.. They have a decent team this year and looks like they'll continue to be pretty decent if not better for the next couple years

If all you care about is SW, stay in a 4A thread. Please read the title of the article and discuss those two teams. It's always seemed to be brought up that South Warren is better than any team that's discussed on a thread. If you wanna talk about South being better than someone, wait until you schedule them or talk about it in a South thread. Same the other way around.

The talent that Owensboro has doesn't get enough credit from people outside of Owensboro. I've watched them for years and to say they have little speed is insane. They've always seem to have very quick backs and db's. This year is no different!

Going off the title of this thread, shouldn't we be talking about who could beat South Warren? Honestly I'd like to see them play Ashland.

I was just told that Jordan Merideth has started practicing this week. I'm guessing a game time decision. No new information Tooley.

Gotta remember they are still relatively new to being this good:whistling: But the obvious answer is yes.. But, any team could run the table in any class. The year isn't over until the horn blows at Western. I'm just hoping we have one of these "dark horses" make it a little further than projected. Anything can happen, that's why we play a post season. The benefit is you get a chance. Yeah, you could walk on somewhere smaller. But why would you go to UK where no one knows anything about you and only have a few weeks to prove yourself. Especially when you could go to Michigan where a coach already knows about you and you'll get a couple months to show your worth instead of a couple weeks. It's about the opportunity. If you don't take it, you'll always have that what if. if it doesn't work, you can always try again somewhere else!

Found this while searching for another thread. If Coach Wallace wins Friday night, he will be tied at 15th for all time wins with 271. Great accomplishment! Congrats coach!

According to the KHSAA website, I do believe if Wallace wins Friday night he will be tied for 15th in all time wins Garnis Martin of Bardstown at 271.
