These teams played way back on August 29, 2015 at the Stadium of Champions in Hopkinsville in the opening game of the Toyota of Hopkinsville Jerry Clairborne Bowl. BG came out on top 55-14 and were never really threatened. Plus I think the weather (pretty darn hot around 90 degrees) hurt Christian County more in this game.

The Colonels have had a fine season with their only other 2 loses besides BG being at Owensboro and at John Hardin. No shame there! But do the Colonels stand a chance coming to BG in this matchup?

I think this game will be closer than the first. And I really like the Young Gun Trio of QB Langhi, WR Catlett and RB Kenner. But that's not the side of the ball the Colonels need to worry about the most as in their losses they have given up 55 (BG), 49 (Owensboro) and 38 (John Hardin) points. Just don't see it. BG 35 - Christian County 17.

CCHS has not improved much on defense and has improved on offense. Still will be very one sided

BG 45-21

Purples need a tune up before next weeks game at Owensboro. Christian County has the same problem that McCracken County had. No defense! Purples 42-14.

I'm going to go with the fighting PP92's in this one.

You never know crazier things have happen. GO Colonels!!

Christian County does have enough athletes to make a coach worry. The main problem for the Colonels is their defense. What BG can't do, is get sloppy with the ball and turn it over multiple times. That is the only way I see Christian County being able to stay in it.

Bowling Green 49

Christian County 21

I just can't see CCHS scoring more than 3 TD's on BG defense, and I can't see CCHS defense stopping Bowling Green at all.

Anyone know the possibility of Jordan Merideth and Chazz Tooley playing this or next week??

TPurple, We'll know tomorrow. Should be a good chance for both to return, but not guaranteed.

Christian County has known for several weeks that they would be the honored guests of the Purples in week 2 of the playoffs.

Offensively they will have the chance to move the ball quite a bit (atleast in first half) I am sure CC coaches has tried to put together any and every scheme they can think of in the hopes of stopping the Purples offensive unit. It will be a difficult task, too difficult.

Found this while searching for another thread. If Coach Wallace wins Friday night, he will be tied at 15th for all time wins with 271. Great accomplishment! Congrats coach!

TPurple, both OLineman are officially listed as "Questionable" this week. But Jordan Merideth is also listed as the starting LT, which Chazz Tooley is listed as the backup RG. I look for both to get some snaps, but probably not TOO many as the only good thing about these injuries is that it's allowed other guys to play and get some valuable experience and we've built some pretty good depth on the OLine right now. Just don't want any more on Friday - for either team for that matter! :thumb:
