How come people think this game will be a blowout? I'll be shocked if it is more than a 7 point deficit. What am I missing?

Many say this game won't be as close as the previous game. I believe it is going to be just as good or closer. Last time the Purples were at Rash Stadium, Jamale Carrothers ran the ball all over the field and couldn't be stopped. Hope to see the same again!! This is possibly the biggest game in the state this week and I can't wait for the drive up.

That was Jamals break out game and most of that came in the 2nd half. Owensboro beat us in the 1st half. All I know, if it is close at halftime, nobody, I repeat, nobody in the state is better at making adjustments than Bowling Green. If they lose, I feel safe to say it probably wasn't because of the coaching.

I am really excited about this game! Best 2 teams in 5A. Just my opinion.

 

Upon review of the first game, both teams missed alot of opportunities I know they would like to get another shot at.

 

Big questions in the game for me are?

 

1. Can BG D make O throw? 2nd and 10; 3rd and 8 I think O QB is better now, but if he has to win the game that is advantage BG.

2. BG did not score in the second half of the first game. Tip your hat to Owensboro yes, but Why? What does the BG O need to do differently this time.

3. Special teams - Super Devil Jahill Barret brought the wrong cleats from home and everytime he caught a punt at BG he slipped. This helped BG in the field position game. Playing at Rash Stadium, this will not happen. BG must be prepared to group tackle Mr. Barret.

Conversely, Super Purple Tre Fant has played lights out lately and he returns punt/kicks on occasion also. Red Devils must be prepared to group tackle Mr. Fant.

 

I made a prediction earlier 28-27 BG. I will stick with that. The only way it is a couple scores is if there are several turnovers for 1 team.

Going to be a 4th quarter game. Red Devils have convinced themselves that they are going to win. Problem is, Purples think so as well. All the makings of a classic. If Purplehaze had 1 game to pick to watch, this is it.

 

This one is for Purplehaze. 12 players on field for Purples gives them the edge.
