This whole situation is kind of blowing up on ESPN…Pat McAfee did 10+ minutes on it. Precedent of 1 game was set earlier in the year (not sure of player?). This will financially cost Chase more than many make in a lifetime, plus the bad example set for our younger generation. Chase needs a crisis manager that will guide him to own it now before this mushrooms into even more. I was hoping it was AI.

If the video is real (AI makes everything questionable) it was certainly a disgusting and previously thought out of character thing for Chase to do. There will be both public and unspoken marketing opportunities lost in addition to the unpaid game suspension and fine. $$$$$$$

My Steelers friends called to know if I had seen the video of Chase spitting on Ramsey that resulted in the punch, helmet grab and game eviction. Chase denies he spit, but the end close up clearly shows the spit. Now in this day of AI we no longer know what is real and what has been doctored. If real, Chase is going to most certainly draw a one game suspension. $$$$$$

Birds got to be careful of not overlooking the Redhounds. By now in the playoffs everybody can play. Corbin has no bad defeats as both Pulaski and Frederick Douglass are still playing and their loss to Johnson Central was extremely competitive. Birds should win 35-21 as long as they don’t get ahead of their skis.

Very interesting concept of middle. Isn’t Harrison Co the 10th Region’s furthest county west and being adjacent to Fayette tied with Montgomery for most southern. Not sure either my geography or geometry teachers would smile if I concluded Cynthiana is the middle of the 10th Region.

Just saw an amazing game stat in CovCath vs Johnson Central. JC controlled the ball 39 of the 48 game minutes in their losing efforts. Probably says it all about CovCath quick strike offense vs Johnson Central’s 458 ground and pound control game.

Agree, but my mind keeps flashing back to that first WC game. Like watching a pinball machine lights as 57 points were far too easy.

Got to admit, did not watch the Male/Manuel upset last night. Thought the Bulldogs would get boat-raced in a redux of two weeks ago. WRONG stupid me, it’s playoff football. Can’t help but think the Bombers will not overlook the Bulldogs, but again it is Chris Wolfe/Dawgs/playoff football.

Sure hope this game is on Glicod. Had to be impressed with CovCath’s home run gashes on the ground against Johnson Central. But defending the run is Boyle’s strength allowing only 48 ypg. When Boyle beat Highlands it was a young soph QB’s first start. He now has 9 games under his belt and playing impressively. Could be a must see classic game.

That is also a lot of fans that are going to be ticked, not pay crazy fee and will be a little less enthusiastic about the program. For the 50-75 that pay to view they will be just excited to see the game and the fee will be meaningless. For that level of fee one would expect a Glicod quality with replays, experienced announcers and game stats.

Highlands 1st 4 games: Frank agree with your assessment completely. Your numbers made me go back and try to see if my run first conclusion was also valid. In the first 4 games it is hard to argue Highlands was predominantly pass first. Rio threw an average of 26 passes per game at a 64% completion rate for 6 TDs (1.5 per game), 2 INTs, averaged 191 yards per game, 7.4 yards per attempt and 11.6 per completion. Highlands last 7 games: As you accurately summarized in the last 7 games Rio has reduced his attempts to only 15.6 per game at an excellent 75% completion rate for 14 TDs (2per game), 4 INTs, averaged 157 yards per game, 10.2 yards per attempt and 13.5 yards per completion. My conclusion is pretty clear that Rio has superior high school talent and the dramatic offensive change in strategy has among many factors allowed the passing game to flourish generating superior efficiency in both accuracy, TDs through the air, yards per attempt and yards per completion.

If Ashland gets up early Highlands has a proclivity to turn to pass first. Birds offense has always been superior when it is run first ( a.k.a. Lorenzan and Williams) and then play action.

Support Coach’s decision to tie with almost 4 minutes left. Collins ran 85 plays and were stopped by Dixie 13 times on 3rd down and 3 times on 4th down plus a couple of turnovers on fumbles. That’s a lot of plays and chances for either a Dixie stop or Collin’s turnover. If either happens DH had proven quick strike scores the whole 2nd half. Just got to give Collins, Coach Lucas, and Cade Goodin credit for a classic game winning drive.
