JCPS coaches are some of most dedicated and lowest paid (hourly wage equivalent) in the profession. Most Ky high school coaches in all sports are driven by intangibles that passively consider the dollars. Thanks coaches for what you have done for our youth. Special thanks, Coach Wolfe, you are a true winner and I know your recently deceased father did and forever will beam with pride for the legacy you have left in the thousands of young men you coached.

Parking? I see this great NewCath project as going to be the source of a lot of senior citizen fights on game nights. Older alumni will be thrashing each other over the 5 handicap spots as their only other option is walking the hill from below. ?

If Highlands insists on pass first, then I would rate Beechwood over the Birds. If Highlands elects to go ground and pound like CovCath did, then the Birds overpower the Tigers. As Forest Gump says “Highlands is like a box of chocolates.”

For the hearty fan after a forever drive Cattlemen’s Steakhouse is awesome….full salad bar and pick your steak size, plus full bar. 12 minutes from the field.

Certainly hoping that Owensboro’s production is superior to most school’s NFHS, which is no game/score/time info, no announcers. Just a voiceless screen that occasionally shows the scoreboard. Could be so much better.

Exactly what I was trying to point out. Every negative element (except wind) was existing to say it was going to be a tough night to pass….rain, wet ball, saturated field, foggy night stressing impaired visuals not even to mention a pretty good Corbin passing defense. Just a tough night for a pass first offense to be successful.

This is a compliment and question. BW regulars are a great 1st half team as rarely have the starters seen much 2nd half action since their CovCath loss….running clock after running clock. Is it hard for the Coaching staff to get a team ready for 4 qtrs of battle when the regulars have only been there once this season and in that game they were boat-raced in the 4th?

Despite Savage’s offensive stats, if he is limited I would give him a go on defense. He is vital at LB.

Agree OCath will be Tigers’ 2nd toughest opponent this season. But, shouldn’t it be that way this time of year? I think BW’s defense will be superior to anything the pass heavy Aces have seen. Going to be a good one.

Thinking Beechwood’s secondary is elite and will hold OC’s passing game well below their norm.

Guys as an antique I have no knowledge or experience with turf in the rain. Do turf shoes give any semblance of traction on a saturated field?

Why am I wondering are these two consolidating to become such a massive school (3rd largest in Ky)? Reducing opportunities for lots of kids to participate in all types of programs that are numbers limited. But this thread is about the football coaching position and I will say it is a premier opportunity that should attract some great coaches.

Got to believe the Jimmys and Joes are walking those hallways. The school is too big, the facilities are there, the tradition ran rampant in the old Mt. Sterling days before the merger… where or why are those athletes not carrying on in bigger ways?

Have never seen QB Robbins from Murray. His offensive stats are certainly the best of all candidates. If he gets his undefeated team to Kroger Field he will be hard pressed to overlook. There are multiple two way candidates, I don’t know if Robbin’s goes both ways.
