Round 2

Cam O'Hara (QB, Cooper)

🗞️ | One of the greatest quarterbacks in NKY history reached the end of the road in a high school uniform, though he didn't go quietly. O'Hara made a fuss on his way out the door, accounting for all five Cooper touchdowns in defeat to Scott County. He closes his time as a Jag ranking #3 all-time in passing touchdowns and #6 in yards with 40 career wins and two state finals appearances. It's a waiting game now to see how much the voters value a championship.
Season so far: 134/229 (58%) for 2,231 yards and 26 touchdowns with 5 interceptions | 3 rushing touchdowns

Mason Trimble (QB, Saint Xavier)

🗞️ | He outgunned Bullitt East with 244 yards of offense and three touchdown passes. Trimble is in complete command of the offense, connecting on almost 73% of his passes over the last four games with more touchdown passes (13) than misfires (12) and zero turnovers.

Season so far: 137/197 (69%) for 1,798 yards and 21 touchdowns with 4 interceptions | 269 rushing yards and 7 touchdowns

Cash Harney (QB, Covington Catholic)

🗞️ | The hills of Johnson County and those who dwell there have a way of discouraging outsiders on the field of play. With their might and menace breathing down your neck, the trees begin to close in, the night turns a few shades darker. Undeterred, CovCath was a beacon, a white light beaming through the black of night. They beat Johnson Central at its own game…. on the Golden Eagles’ home turf, no less. The Colonels utilized a two headed rushing attack that produced over 300 yards, led by Harney's 161 and two scores. He carved a swath through JC’s defense for both touchdowns, every stride a warning to the mountains that the Colonels would not fade to black.

Season so far: 112/170 (66%) for 1,861 yards and 14 touchdowns with 6 interceptions | 927 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns | 1 receiving touchdown

Jacob Savage (RB/LB, Ryle)

🗞️ | Only a Savage would take a bear head on. Jacob totaled 187 yards from scrimmage and two scores against Ballard, including a 75 yard touchdown reception to make a meal of the Bruins.
Season so far: 155 carries for 1,201 yards and 24 touchdowns | 204 receiving yards and 5 touchdowns | 107 tackles | 15 TFL | one fumble forced and one recovered | 2 interceptions

Kaleb Evans (QB, Lloyd Memorial)

🗞️ | The first two rounds couldn't have gone much better. Evans was perfect again (9/9 with 3 TDs) to earn his second consecutive ‘William Tell Marksmanship Award’ 🎯. He's now 18 of 18 for the playoffs with eight touchdown passes.
Season so far: 130/181 (72%) for 2,009 yards and 32 touchdowns with 5 interceptions | 1 rushing touchdown

Wyatt Robbins (QB, Murray)

🗞️ | The Tigers made short work of Hart County behind Robbins’ 260 yards and three touchdowns on a crisp 12/14 attempts.
Season so far: 157/218 (72%) for 2,905 yards and 34 touchdowns with 3 interceptions | 485 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns

Kaleb Miller (RB, Bell County)

🗞️ | Log Mountain’s latest “Bell-cow” has run roughshod over the opposition all season. He tuned up Knox Central for 186 yards and three scores on just six carries.
Season so far: 152 carries for 1,814 yards and 28 touchdowns | 1 receiving touchdown

Colin Daniels (QB, North Oldham)

🗞️ | Known more for his arm, Daniels put his running shoes on against Spencer County. The Bears were caught completely off guard, as Daniels tucked and ran for 114 yards and a touchdown, nearly equaling his season output for rushing yards. All together, he accounted for 312 yards of total offense.

Season so far: 167/249 (67%) for 2,640 yards and 42 touchdowns with 4 interceptions | 243 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns

Maddox O'Neal (QB, McCracken County)

🗞️ | He went out on his shield, throwing for three touchdowns and running for two more against Henderson County. The Colonels picked O'Neal off three times and limited him to 45% on his completions to flip the result from their regular season meeting, when he kept a clean sheet.
Season so far: 184/310 (59%) for 2,488 yards and 34 touchdowns with 11 interceptions | 4 rushing touchdowns

Trending Up 📈
Kris Hughes (ATH, Somerset)
🗞️ | The watchlist’s ignorance has gone on long enough. Hughes has been on a season-long tear, rushing for a hundred yards or more ten games in a row, including 272 and four touchdowns to sink the Admirals. He now leads the state in rushing yards, with 2,000 in his sights.

Season so far: 57/96 (59%) for 970 yards and 10 touchdowns with 2 interceptions | 198 carries for 1,956 yards and 36 touchdowns | 36 tackles | 1 interception

Seeing four of these kids live, my vote would go to Cam.  He has been consistently great for three years.  He lead his team to two state runners up seasons and then fell to a really good Scott Co. team that may go on an win the whole thing.  His stats are great his accuracy is unreal and he will be a great addition to WKU next season.

Have never seen QB Robbins from Murray.  His offensive stats are certainly the best of all candidates.  If he gets his undefeated team to Kroger Field he will be hard pressed to overlook.  There are multiple two way candidates, I don’t know if Robbin’s goes both ways.

Defensive position not listed on their roster. Stats show 1 solo tackle.

Robbins does not play defense. Tackle was after a fumble recovery for the opponent and made td saving tackle.

Kris Hughes continues to dominate week after week. To be on a watchlist is more than impressive for a player that is not an actual QB. He stepped in to this position after the starting QB was injured in the 1st and only game they have lost this season. He’s broken two school all time records (in a 119 year program history) now leading in rushing and scoring. He’s also leading the entire state in both TD’s and Rushing Yds. Hughes plays both sides of the ball and is just as impressive on defense. Adding to his resume this past week, in the absence of their star kicker, Hughes stepped up to the plate without hesitation to fill those shoes as well showing off an impressive 55-60 yd punt. To this point there’s nothing he’s been faced with that he hasn’t dominated. Good in the classroom, outstanding humble young man and a textbook definition of Mr. Football. Hughes should definitely be watched more closely.

Wyatt Robbins did not have best game in terms of completion percentage.  But I will mention this: when the Tigers needed him most, he delivered!!

First, battling with an excellent stingy Lex Cath defense for 44 minutes, he scrambled from 7 yards out for a diving, pylon hitting TD.

Then, being down 14-7 after a horrendous fumble call by the refs that allowed Lex Cath take the lead, Wyatt took the Murray Tigers under his cape and said, NOT TODAY.  Ball on the 20, 1:07 left on the clock.  Robbins accounted for all 80 yards going 4/5 and scrambled once finishing the drive and forcing overtime at Ty Holland field.

Stat line: 24/38 225 yrds 1 td 1 int 9 rushes for 27 yrds 1 TD.

This young man is SPECIAL
