The cardinals of Scott County(9-3), make the trip back across highway 62 to take on the yellow jackets of Woodford County(11-1). The last two time these teams have met have been close nail biters with the jackets winning both 38-35, and earlier this year on a goal line stand as time ran out 57-50.

Scott County seems to be on a mission. Give me the Cardinals in this one. 42-38.

I'll go with Scott County in a close one since they will have revenge on the mind after losing a close one earlier in the season.

Two outcomes would surprise me:

1)Winner with less than 40 points

2)Winning margin greater than 7.

Good luck to both teams.

Scott County has Caleb Florence for this one. He is huge for the run game. Cooper tried to run it early but with his help the run went no where.

Timmy Emongo is Timmy Emongo. You can gameplan all you want for him but it won’t matter. The passing attack looked elite as well. Scott County had 604 total yards on Cooper. 308 came through the air on 9/10 passing.

If they can replicate even half of that success next week, and keep the ball off the ground while playing about as they usually do in the run game I don’t see a way they don’t win.

Scott County had a lot of bad mistakes last game vs Woodford. If they minimize those mistakes they’ll win this one, maybe even by multiple scores. Go Cards!

my prediction is 56-48 Scott County.

Hoping the Cards and that beautiful offense out score the Jackets this time.  Unfortunately my eyes keep seeing their secondary weaknesses time and again.  Both WC and Cooper QBs made it look easy.

If Pulaski holds serve week 3 , the winner of Wofo/Scott comes to Rash Stadium in Owensboro week 4.  That will be a great game!  Good luck to both teams here.  I think Scott will get it, they crushed Cooper it put everyone on notice.

Cooper’s QB is none other than Cam O’Hara. Not sure a defense has made him look bad in a few years now. Even then, they scored 20 of their 34 when they were in complete desperation mode while SC was more concerned with how long it took them to score than actually stopping them.

Tough one to pick. Recent games played tells me to pick Woodford, but Scott County is playing very good right now. Good luck to both teams in what should be a really good game.

Agree, but my mind keeps flashing back to that first WC game.  Like watching a pinball machine lights as 57 points were far too easy.

I think SC wins this one. I watched the first meeting as well as the SCCooper game and the Cards are clicking on all cylinders with ball control! I think it will be within 6 points but SC wins the rematch.

Woodford Co. 43-41.

Excited to watch this rematch. I'm sure woodford will have guys covering the 1 man routes for SC and not allow them to complete 9 of 10 for 300+ like Cooper did. As effective as both offenses are, the defense that adjusts the best will determine the winner here. I think Woodford will have to pass the ball in order to open up the run, and SC will be the opposite. Either way, I think the winner of this game will hoist the hardware in Lexington.

Good luck to both squads. Hopefully we see an injury free barn burner again.
