They don't care if they win. In many schools people making these decisions know or care nothing about football. It's just what is convienent for the school.

He gets a little too much credit. He may be a good coach, but every where he has been "won" before he got there and continues to "win" after he leaves.

I would agree with this to an extent. In the big games his QB play was horrendous. I guess that's not all his fault.

He didn't do a great job as OC this year. Maybe high school suits him better. He still tries to run his high school offense so I guess he would be better off in high school.

Ed Smart is the clear cut best choice. High character, proven winner at schools with limited athletes, certified teacher, family man, HC experience.

I see him being a Tim Tebow/Johnny Manziel type QB at BYU. Here's to you Merrill:laugh:

He will fit in very well there. Tall, good athlete. I think he could be a good player there. I wish G-town would recruit more of these Western Ky kids.

Madisonville has always been a place with potential. I have always heard the parents there are a nightmare. This is the reason there has been so much coaching turnover. They have produced some great kids over the years. I have never heard any complaints about Mad-ville kids, only parents.

I didn't mean to sidetrack this post, so this will my last reply on this thread. This is why so many coaches are quitting in mass exodus. We are asking them to do so many other things other than coach football. These guys are questioning, is it worth it? We are getting ready to see a bunch of 24 year old HFCs around the state. Fixed. Football requires a quality staff. Otherwise I totally agree.

It goes a little deeper than you admit. Michigan State is better than their 2nd best. Wisconsin is better than their 3rd.

Better competition? Ohio State 42-Alabama 35 :troll: Harris will get playing time next year @ OSU and replace EZ-E the next year. Start at OSU for 2 years and be a high draft pick. Urban has them rolling. I would expect them to win at least 1 more Nat'l Championship in the next 3 years.

Union would have beaten Fort Campbell this year by a couple of scores. This year's Fort Campbell team was terrible.

This is very accurate. I saw several Lone Oak games that year that he WAS NOT pulled when up big.

Harris is clearly the best RB in the state. Ask yourself this question. If Hoge and Sindelar were on the same team, who would be the QB? Sindelar, clearly, and Hoge would be playing wr and fs.

I believe you have a non-sexual crush on him.

Graves will be down next year. The years after 2015 look very promising though. You don't just replace Cody Crider.

I love the venue and the location. I know many Northerners hate it cause they have to driver further but we drove to UofL for enough years. I also prefer BG cause I find it easier to get around. The stadium is a perfect setup for the fans and teams. The only gripe I have is parking, of which there is little. I also find it ridiculous that the make us evacuate the club area between games even if we have tickets to the next game.

This is a really bad matchup for Murray. They will need some big time breaks.

Life goes on.......The ones that love you will be with you long after you get fired from that job. Sounds like you would be a great addition to another school's football team. A coach that loves his family. Good thing about getting fired is you have an experience that you have learned from and will make you a better coach in the future.
