Some speculated that Beau would play some other position than QB.

 

Bronco Mendenhall said today that Beau would compete with another kid for the #2 QB spot and would redshirt if he didn't win the #2 position.

 

Tanner Mangum redshirted last year and is returning from a mission trip.

 

They also have another QB kid coming in who is going on his mission immediately.

Jason is a neat guy, got to meet him this yr at the Highlands / CovCath game and he called Highlands the "fastest smallest team" he has ever seen at the HS level and was most impressed with their discipline. :thumb:

 

BYU is getting an incredible young man that will play during his time in Utah...the kid is that good imo and it will be at QB.

Just curious, what would an emphasis on academics have to do with a kid graduating or not graduating early? Is it because Highlands requires more credits to graduate than whatever is the national high school standard?
