Am I missing something? I thought I would see Brandon Hatton (Dixie) on this list? I thought I read last year that he was pretty well over 3k. -
Is it possible to post an audio clip?

Upload it to YouTube and provide the link. Should work the same and you could start the clip with a graphic stating what the clip is. -

Even though small, that looks like its going to be an awesome addition for the school.. I wonder if schools like Cov Cath, NCC and Holy Cross will ever think about building a new gym. They just can't compete with the larger schools when it comes to the income made from attendance to their home games. I think thats proof when they have to move games to larger gyms like Holmes or NKU's Bank center.

I think this year more than ever they will need each player to play up to their potential. Not having that true big man inside will force their guards to handle the ball more. They have some really really good outside shooters and a sophomore that could very well be the leader of this team for the next 3 years the outlook looks better. I look for a very strong run this year but then probably come up short to teams that have a stronger/taller 4/5. Several teams throughout the state have really nice big men that could control the inside forcing their outside to shoot more. Good to be a fun year... -
Do they even play each other this year? I didn't think so.

I've recently seen him and really don't think he was that tall. The CCH roster list him at 6'6 and if its like most rosters we see, that may be a little high. Heppler is listed at 6'3. Could be wrong, just from what I've seen. -
Post scrimmages here...

How many scrimmages do basketball teams get? Not sure what the rule is. -
looking for some early games to watch, anyone know when people are playing.

I don't know this answer but if most of the previous players stayed wouldn't that be pretty good competition for a team that isn't part of the KHSAA? For however long they were suspended they could become the Harlem Globetrotters of KY by playing a full schedule of non-KHSAA teams. (And most likely if all players are back they too would dominate over their opponents...) Just a thought..

IMO Jaiden has a lot of untapped potential. Watching him play a few times last year and then over this past summer I would think he could do more. He is only a soph so he has plenty of time to grow. Next year I expect we will hear a lot more of his name. -

I wasn't trying to give a ranking per say, I was more wondering who were some of the key players at each of the schools to watch out for. -

Does it hurt him that he is a two sport player (basketball and baseball)? I know he is very good at both. You can't dedicate the needed time to one sport if you are having to run to another sports practice? -
Interesting concept, I was getting ready ask how many schools this would include but then I did a search. This is what I found: - Assumption (Louisville) - Holy Rosary Academy (Louisville) - Mercher Academy (Louisville) - NDA (Covington) - Presentation Academy (Louisville) - Sacred Heard Academy (Louisville) I have to say if NDA was in their own league with all girl schools they would have a drive for each away game.. I would say it would make for some awesome matches..

KHSAA Proposal 2 - Approved
callwhatyousee replied to callwhatyousee's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Has it ever happened where a player was suspended or anything before for this? -
Recently looking at the KHSAA site I came across a list of proposals that recently was presented at their Annual Meeting. One that stuck out was Proposal 2 which attempted to make current privileges that girl basketball players have in attending college showcases during an open NCAA period at the end of September while boys do not get that option. Is this still fair that girls have the opportunity to attend a camp at the end of September while the cutoff will be end of Aug for boys? 09/17/2014 ? Proposal by Proposal Analysis of 2014 Annual Meeting Proposals | Kentucky High School Athletic Association PROPOSAL 2 – Is a proposal from Paul Laurence Dunbar High School on behalf of the Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches. This proposal attempts to correct an inequity where girls basketball players have a fall exposure opportunity not available to boys basketball players, without opening up the fall to full scale outside play. The change would allow boys basketball players to attend a camp after school has started (and through August 31, or the first few days of September if August did not end on a Saturday). These exposure events are technically “camps” within the Division I regulations, and afford students a chance to attend a full day of activities at a potential school, with only that school’s coaches in attendance, and be evaluated against like-talented students. This allows for the recruiting possibilities for the student, without allowing other leagues and entities that do not serve the same mission and purpose as school-based sport. While there are proponents for total elimination of the rule, discussion with many administrators and coaches leads to a consensus that fixing this problem for boys will help with the inequity without changing the allowances for girls (the one weekend in September per NCAA women’s recruiting rules) and without causing further issues. Thoughts?
