If Highlands wants to lay claim to #1 in the state every year that is an easy fix. Play a couple of 6A powerhouses every year , then they can lay claim. My bad they do Trinity, and that usually don't work out. It has to be between BG and Male this year.

Seeing that the money generated from any program is because of the athletes participation they should receive a jacket. The fans don't pay to watch the coach. There should be a requirement maybe that a child has to play a sport 3 years. This is something that maybe title 9 has jumped into as well, but if my son helps you pack the stands on friday for 4 years, that should be worth a jacket.

By the end of all your post you are not arguing about cov cath. You just want everyone to lay down and hand Hhs the trophy. Here is whats wrong with that. I don' t even think bluebird fans just want a trophy without a fight.

The game should not be close, but it could be because of the crosstown element, and the fact that Goodman is playing QB. Probably should have been there the whole season, and the other guy looks more like a TE, slow of foot. However, Mercer has not seen a def or off as good as Boyle. The emotions will run high and this game could be better than the paperwork.

Cov Cath should drop because Ryle gave them all they wanted. The rankings are good but alot can happen between here and Bowling Green. If JH and Paducah can play with Hhs, then there may be 2 or 3 4A teams that might be ready to play in November.

I know Corbin has been down from their storied history, but somebody needs to remind them of their tradition. These kind of games pull from the deepest emotions. This is why i think Bell won. Tradition is alive at Bell even in the down years. That is why teams like Bell , Belfry, Boyle Co. And Highlands are hard to beat even in the off years. They are playing for thevTradition. I say that to point out that Corbin has the same kind of History, and they should get some players from the past to come and remind them they are playing for everybody. And if they do that i think they can go down to johnny come lately wayne co. And bring back a win in the playoffs.

I am not an Anderson fan , but i said Cox is the real deal. And for the record Franklin does not have four Coxes. He was by far the best athelete on the field.

Cox big and fast gave Boyle trouble. Boyle had best athelete in the school on him. Mercer countys speed could not run cox down either. As good a receiver in the state with his body and speed . A difference maker. Anderson to physical for Franklin Boyle hit them hard and they kept coming. Anderson wins and i believe will go to Bowling Green this year

Cov Cath will never see Boyle or Lex Cath. They can't beat JC or Hhs. If Boyle Keeps winning everyone has to come to there house including Hhs or Jc. Great win for mostly sophs and juniors, great play by the few seniors as well. These guys get better every week and they know how to win close games. And the qb best athelete on the field last night. Goes both ways throws a good ball ,strong arm and fast as anyone, big int also in the endzone, just a soph. Def played great and Burke ran over some people. Hoskins as usual carried 2- 3 players when he ran, hardest kid to bring down i have seen in a while. Congrats to Boyle

Lex Cath passing really good. But thier D hasn't stopped anyone except Mercer who had a qb that hadn't played a snap until the wk before, he is a wideout, and they had 6 turnovers. Long night for lex cath D because thier off don't stay on the field long. Boyles backdield to good. Qb for boyle can run. They havent turned him loose this year he is just a soph, i expect he may do some new stuff tonight. He avg over 20 yds a catch last year as a feeshman and had 10 tds. He is the best athelete in the school. Boyle will get the win.

Sometomes the way you defend the pass is to get to the qb the way Paducah did who is 1-5. They stayed in the game for 3 qtrs by getting to the qb who is no where near the runner the hhs qb was last year. In fact i think the hhs qb this year is on the neg. Column on running the ball. I think Jc is better than pt who sets at 1-5.

The question was who poses the biggest challenge. No one has decided hhs would be beat yet! But the 2 test would be if they have to go to johnson central, and the north has to come south this year . So if boyle gets that far they will be grown up and playing at home. I think going to jc or boyle or maybe both would be the hardest road for hhs.

I agree that boyle has to win in nov, but i still think they are a harder team for hhs to match up with than lex cath, because lex cath plays the same style as hhs.

Boyle , if I remember correctly boyle was up at half last year and fumbled 4 times in the 2nd. Boyle plays the type of ball the gives hhs a challenge. Last year the hhs qb could run, this year boyles qb can run and he is fast, changes whole game imo. Lex cath plays same kind of ball hhs does plays right into hhs. Boyle plays more like mtn teams but this year they have some speed. Jc & cov are still a mystery.

Just play Trinity and this thread is settled. I am sure the Rocks will play.

I think Corbin is as good as everyone. They were inexperienced going in, but they are talented and play good def. Notice the teams that play good D , they just keep getting the job done. Corbin will beat Wayne, and make noise. They are for real. There juniors won the middle school championship if I remember correctly, and i dont think they had a game that was even close. Maybe their tradition is on the way back.

Biugrasscard has a point. When you outgain someone 527 to 81 total yards who plays without there starting qb who is pretty good and it is 20~6 at the end of 3 qtrs that is not good.

Got a chance to watch this game. That QB from Boyle has potential to be dangerous. Decent size but just a soph. Threw on the run, something most high school qbs cant do. A really fast kid too.
