Boyle (8-0, 3-0 4A-5) and Mercer (5-3, 2-1) meet in Harrodsburg. Boyle would win its district outright with a victory; a Mercer win would likely lead to a three-way tie.

Should be a great game and one that many have looked forward to playing. I like Boyle but it should be a close one. (though I hope it isn't. :thumb:)

Boyle Co. 34-14.

I agree Hatz! This game scares me. Pardue knows Boyle very well and will have his team ready. I'm sure this game has been one from the start of the year they have been looking for and want. I'll take a 1 point win and no injuries.

I feel that Boyle has the advantage on both sides of the ball. They have given up the fewest number of points on defense of any 4A team. Their offense should be back at full strength this week. I think it will be an interesting game to watch. Boyle threw the ball quite a bit last week, but I think that was just to get in some extra work on their passing game, knowing that they could handle Marion regardless. Their strength offensively is in their running game and the number of outstanding backs they can turn to. The offensive line has really grown up these last few games also.

Where is Tony Stark when you need him?

The game should not be close, but it could be because of the crosstown element, and the fact that Goodman is playing QB. Probably should have been there the whole season, and the other guy looks more like a TE, slow of foot. However, Mercer has not seen a def or off as good as Boyle. The emotions will run high and this game could be better than the paperwork.

I think you mean "cross county" element. :thumb:

I think it will be the most emotion for Mercer all year and I hope Boyle comes ready to play.

Mercer is without Russell Sims. I think he is a bigger loss than Drew Davis. Goodman really only has Layne Peavler to throw to. I can see Peavler having a good game but I think the Boyle defense will fluster Goodman and this won't be a close game at all.

Boyle by 14.

Simms out hurts on both sides if the ball and the kicking game for Mercer.
