Franklin County Flyers (8-0/3-0) travel up US127 to take on Anderson County Bearcats (6-1/3-0) in what should decide the district champion for 5A district 6. The last couple of years this game has come down to final possession of the game. Last season it took a kickoff return for the Flyers to win in the final seconds.

This season Anderson County is averaging39.5 points per game being led by their QB Zach Carmichael who has thrown for 1163 yards through six games. They will face a much improved Flyer defense that is only giving up 17 points per game.

The Flyers know how to score too, they are averaging 47 points per game being led by a pair of running backs Thunder and Lightening Chris Roberts and Lerenzo McCaskell both backs have combined for over 1500 yards on the ground. They are facing a Bearcat defense that is only give up 17 points per game.

Common Opponents

• Anderson 24 West Jessamine 6

• Franklin Co 42 West Jessamine 32

• Anderson 38 Woodford Co. 3

• Franklin Co. 54 Woodford Co. 0

Don't think the common opponents give much indication if anything it still indicates a close game though.

Only time game has come down to last play was last year. Franklin beat AC by 30 the year before in 2011 and also in a scrimmage by 21 in 2010. AC is too slow to stop FC. I don't see this being an event matchup at all. FC 44 AC 24

I can tell you no one at FCHS agrees with Corners In! All the talk I have heard from Franklin County players and staff is how good Anderson is and how they better come to play! Only one of these teams has been to the finals in the last three years and it sure isn't FC!

Franklin Co. 42-28.

I think this on will be a tight one. Are both teams healthy?

Did Franklin county change defensive coaches this year?

I will take Anderson 35-28. I think they could have more motivation after being so close last year. Should be one heck of a game to watch.

Give me Franklin County , saw Lorenzo McCaskill last year against Frankfort and fell in love with his game. Two much skill for Anderson, IMO.

I like Franklin County. Too much McCaskell and Roberts.

If Anderson county will put the ball in Ross Cox hands alot Anderson wins.

Ross is a very good I hope FC has a strategy to keep him in check? How fast is he?

This game has to be one of the better games being played this week. Not much covnersation about it here on BGP.

Cox big and fast gave Boyle trouble. Boyle had best athelete in the school on him. Mercer countys speed could not run cox down either. As good a receiver in the state with his body and speed . A difference maker. Anderson to physical for Franklin Boyle hit them hard and they kept coming. Anderson wins and i believe will go to Bowling Green this year
