I just figured Cville still had the athletes that would be able to win this game. If they were just an injury away from not winning a district consiting of Bardstown Beth, Caverna, and Fort Knox I doubt you could be compete with the likes of Russellville or Beechwood. I didn't see the game but looking at the stats Cville tried to pass the ball more than they had all season. As a team they have right at 50 pass attempts and 23 came friday. Yes you are correct they still have lots to play for and have a wonderful season going thus far.

Even without Young no way Green should have beat Cville that bad. As for young not playing maybe they are saving him for Green County.

After the Taylor County game I would be suprised if Green is able to keep it within 3 TD's. How Green County beat Cville so bad last year is still a mystery to me as well.

Since 2000 Green County leads the series 12-3 The closest game in the streak is a 21 point win for Green against a 7 win Cville team.

Campbellsville should make some noise this season. They also moved to a much easier district and region that should help them. I would think anything less than 10 wins is probably a disappointment.

DeSales numbers is really what I believe sets them apart and puts them over the top in AA. It allows for them to stay fresh over the course of a long season.

Taylor only goes 7 deep so fatigue could have had something to do with. But missing FT's and TO's will not win you a big game. Taylor Co. also seemed to play to much 1 on 1 basketball.

So it was a rumor that he WASN'T going to play in the regional tournament? Do you know the reason as to why he came off the bench? And 31 points off the bench in the region I guess that's what he meant he was going to get his shine regardless lol

Numbers is probably one of the biggest advantages Mayfield had in Class A. Along with tradition, talent, and coaching lol. It wil be interesting to see how they stack up in AA, and I'm sure they are ready and looking forward to the challenge

I could see using maybe the LIT rankings or a type of computer rankings if they seed teams. But this format has been used so long I doubt they change it anytime soon.

100% percent correct. Any parent would make the decsion which is best for THEIR child. And in Berry's case when you move and have a bonafide change of residence, and attend the school in that district it's all legal.

Berry is from Taylor co. And even posted a l pic of him, goodin, and Webster when they played little league together. Anyone who applied for the TC job knew Goodin was the states top player in his class, so no way that should be held against him. The kids do mouth, but I agree that the coaches and parents are much worse.IMO Gatewood is a young, hungry, hardworking coach. The question will be how long does he stay at TC or does he try to get back to Louisville.

I agree that the county schools are locking down the borders and its effecting Somerset. I would give DeSales the nod over Mayfield because of depth. DeSales will dress about 30-40 more kids than Mayfield. And after a long season and your in the 14th game of the season depth plays a major factor.

The NH game it was a lot of trash talk, but it was from BOTH sides. I agree with the above post that it seems that a lot of folks are just hating on the new kid on the block. The 2 fouls that Q were probably the worse 2 calls ever in a regional championship game.

The only Tech of the game and flagrant foul were both against Bardstown. With that said I didn't see much trash talking from either team to honest. Guys from both teams were making plays and going 100%. The TC and NH game had WAY more trash talking than the game last night. Yes the 2000 final against ETown and Marion in Green Co. they closed the doors as well. Before the Taylor Co. players arrived at the game it was already at least 200-300 TC fans waiting in line, and this was actually before the doors were opened. It was like a road game for Bardstown as 3/4 of the crowd were Taylor Co. fans. IMO that reason it's not played at CH each year is because other schools in the region will feel as it's an advantage for the Hardin county schools. It was close to getting were the floor was to dangerous to keep playing. IDK rather they decided to not turn the air on in the gym, or waited to late. But sitting in the stands I felt like I played 20 minutes tonight. It always seemed to me that TC was in control of the game even with Goodin on the bench. With Goodin playing his normal minutes it could have got real ugly I believe.

TC's size I believe will be the deciding factor in this game. The refs in the TC/NH game were awful both ways IMO.

Campbellsville SHOULD finish no worse than 9-1 regular season

I totally agree many GREAT coaches have had 2 wins or less multiple seasons. I wasn't aware it was the basketball coaches son in law, yes that does make you wonder. Seems back for the former coach and from an outsider looking in seems him got the sort end on this deal. But for Green if the administration is supporting the new hire then it's the first step in having a successful program. As with all coaching jobs now the question is what are they expecting?

Seems funny Green would fire a coach for winning 2 games, then turn around and hire a coach who only won 2 games.
