Time to actually start talking about next season....I have been reading these threads for awhile. I know Mayfield is coming into 2A confident, but I have to think the Colts are by far the favorite?

I am not sure I would say by far the favorite. I respect Mayfield and DeSales lost a lot on both sides of the ball. It should be a great football season and don't forget about Cal.

I can agree with that. Haven't heard much from Cal on here. Did they lose a lot, or are they bringing a lot back?

Thanks Jumper.....I would think Cal needs to be in there someone, since they are the only team to beat the Colts the last 2 years. My "by far" comment was probably a bit much, but Desales will definitely be right there.

From what I know, and have seen so far this past spring. I like where DeSales is. Let's just do our thing, win our games, and let Mayfield have the spotlight. I will say this though. DeSales should be better than last year.

I just think that awesome defense took a big hit. Who returns at corners and safety?

If I recall correctly, CAL lost quite a bit this past season. I look for DeSales and Mayfield to have a big semi-final game. NewCath should be the representative from the East by beating Shelby Valley.

By far over the years, Mf opponents have had a typical response of counting the Cards out but Mf always gets more than their share of titles. I guess due to being located so far out west that nobody knows much about us so we are use to it. Beechwood use to feel that way. The thing about Mf is that they have been doing this football gig extremely well for over 100 years. Most recently in 1A but a good many of the Cards titles are from AA. Unlike the others, we are always there and will continue to get more than our fair share of the titles. Had the Cards been in AA the past several years we would have still got some titles. As for this year, Mf is in a rebuilding year up front on both sides and that could equate to some problems. I think most of you are correct in placing the Cards at #2 or #3 and Murray is going to be a huge obstacle

Do you have a list of DeSales guys going D1, D2 and D3? I know the Punter is going to UL...who else?
