Johnson (punter) is the only one I know from Desales.

The east might be improved. But they have a long way to go, to match up with whoever comes out of the west. If you saw the 2a title game last year, it was just a mis-match. DeSales was bigger, and faster pretty much everywhere on the field over NCC. I can't even imagine how much they would have steamrolled through any team not named NCC. I 100% believe NCC will be there again. When they look across the field, they will see either a bunch of Cardinals, or Colts.

DeSales numbers is really what I believe sets them apart and puts them over the top in AA. It allows for them to stay fresh over the course of a long season.

You can count Middlesboro out. They are going to be very young. They will be a quick out come playoff time.

Since seems people like to predict

1. Desales - 2A champs until someone proves otherwise

2. CAL - 2nd best team last year, although it seems they may have lost a lot. But always good

3. Mayfield - Former 1A power; They will be right there.

4. Murray - I thought they were really good last year.

lol. If you keep telling yourself this, you might convince yourself this to be true.

Mayfield would possibly have two maybe three over the past five years. I believe DeSales would still have our two and Caldwell would still have represented the west three years ago. But that's the toss in my mind.

My guess on the past five:

 

2014 - I think DeSales would have been too strong for Mayfield.

2013, 2012 & 2011 - Mayfield would have won 2A

2010 - New Cath had a heck of a team but I would give the edge to Mayfield.

 

So I see Mayfield winning 4 of the last 5 in 2A.

Mayfield since 2009 is 4-2 in the title game.thats pretty good odds. I think 2010-2013 Mayfield could of won 2A.

I think they may have possibly won in 12 and 13

In 10 I like that NCC team and in 11 I think Holy Cross and Glasgow were both better than the Hazard team that actually won 1A
