gold sunrise Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Congrats to Taylor Co. Surprised by the amount they won by.
silo11 Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 I thought this would be closer considering the way Bardstown has been playing of late.

Harry Doyle Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 It was until the final few mins. Taylor was up 6 I believe at the end of the half and 3rd. ...maybe the last 3 mins. Great atmosphere. But, Green needs to be done hosting it. Fire marshals closed the doors. Did in 2000 for the Etown/Marion final, too if not mistaken.
5thregion Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Goodin played 1/2 a game due to foul trouble, hence the reason Btown hung around. It's sad that Taylor has to be "mouthy" the whole game, as it is a trait they had all year.

If they would just shut their mouth and play ball, we could regard them as a 'classy' outfit. A friend ask me today " Just how much control do you think Gatemouth has on those boys"? There was only a little bit of mouthy by the Tigers. Even before James Brewer came to Bardstown, I thought Bardstown conducted themselfs like gentlemen. A common sentiment of the fifth region fans is that it is hard to cheer for Taylor! But I am sorry the weather cancelled the Hoptown/Taylor matchup. So if Hoptown wins their region I will go to Lexington and cheer for Taylor.
ALLDAYSPORTS Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 I absolutely love rooting for Goodin, not the others. No class in TC, and I feel bad for Goodin because I want to see him do well but want to see TC get throttled in the first round.
Randy Parker Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 I read that this will be Taylor County's first Sweet 16 appearance in 32 years.

Jim Schue Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 I thought this would be closer considering the way Bardstown has been playing of late. Tigers just couldn't knock down shots. Goodin really asserted himself down the stretch despite the four fouls.

I swear I think I lost 10 pounds tonight with how hot/humid it was in there. Started to cramp a little bit on the way home. That heat/humidity also made things dangerous. The walls were sweating well before the game, and condensation on the playing floor made things really hard for the players. Lots of slipping and sliding.
Harry Doyle Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Tigers just couldn't knock down shots. Goodin really asserted himself down the stretch despite the four fouls. You said it. Bardstown really had some good looks all night I thought (or, at least more than I would have though given the height difference). Taylor has the skill set, thats for sure.
Jim Schue Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Bardstown was held without a FG in the fourth quarter. Scoring: TC — Berry 14, Goodin 13, Morgeson 11 B'town — Litsey 11, Cowherd 9
