Campbellsville has stormed their way solidly into the 1A top 10 with easy wins the last 3 weeks following their opening win over Glasgow. This week they face their biggest challenge since that opening win. Green County. Green County is the underdog but there is the potential here for an upset. Does anyone think Green County can get the win in this one? Does Green County have an answer for Campbellsville's outstanding RB Kendon Young?

Eagles haven't beat Green co since 2005 that stops this Friday night. Eagles win at home. Make it 8 stright home wins at the Nest!!

Eagles haven't beat Green co since 2005 that stops this Friday night.

That's really hard to believe. I know Campbellsville hasn't been great and Green has had some good teams, but I would think the Eagles would have grabbed at least one along the way.

Well gchs it's been since 2005. Here's another stat that will blow your mind. GC has put up 40 or more points in every game but one against Cville since 2005.

Since 2000 Green County leads the series 12-3

The closest game in the streak is a 21 point win for Green against a 7 win Cville team.

So it's safe to say GC will be the heavy favorite in this game.

Heavy Favorite for sure... I hope the Eagles can make a game of it..

Heavy Favorite for sure... I hope the Eagles can make a game of it..

Heavy favorite? GC lost to Taylor14, Cville beat Taylor by 22, I think all rivalry games are gonna be close to to say they are a heavy fav seems a bit much!

Campbellsville is the favorite as they should be. Those of you Campbellsville fans need to pick what side of the fence you want to be on.

Want to be considered elite in Class A? Accept being the favorite in this game vs. Green County.

Want to be "Oh gee, golly shucks we are just trying to win some games"? That's fine, but quit getting your feathers ruffled when people don't take you seriously as a contender.

You can't have it both ways.

Auburn, Campbellsville has a long way to go to reach contender status. The coaches and players accept that role and challenge of being a Class A elite program. But as a fan, we haven't beat Green going on 10 years. For the fans to embrace Elite Class A status, Beat Green County... Can't wait till Friday..

In 2000, Green Co beat Cville snapping a long losing streak. Green went on to go undefeated and lost to Corbin in a rematch in the regional finals. The win vs Cville signaled to us Green fans that we were for real.

The glasgow win likely did that already but this has a similar feel to it.

Cville really could have won last year as Green only won one other game.

Hope the dragons can pull an upset

Cville by 14, they win the first Cow Days trophy for their case. Green's loss to TC last week was a shocker, and I am not sure they can mentally get over it. Hope they do, but the Eagles are flying high with confidence and they are at home. I'm afraid the streak stops here.

This game will be a great one to watch. Campbellsville is indeed considered "elite" in Class A by now, and I'm sure will go out and play fast and hard like we have seen the previous 4 games. But they can't take Green County lightly. Like I said, this will be an exciting game to watch.

After the Taylor County game I would be suprised if Green is able to keep it within 3 TD's. How Green County beat Cville so bad last year is still a mystery to me as well.

The mystery is that Cville was without RB Kendon Young. Young didn't play against LaRue last Friday for reasons unknown, so it will be interesting to see if he is in uniform against Green. If so, its not a contest and the Eagles roll big time over the Dragons. If Young doesn't play it doesn't change much as far as Cville still being the more talented team, but I do feel it will be much closer than expected against a hungry GC team coming off a loss that nobody saw come to TC. Should be an interesting match-up!
