Campbellsville comes into this one as a favorite no doubt. However don't sleep on the Dragons in this one. The Eagles are the more talented team and come into the Cow Bowl unblemished; however, the Dragons have had this teams number for quite a while now. I personally watched the Eagles get embarrassed last year 43-14 by the Dragons. I know Campbellsville was without K. Young in that one but they had no answer for GC quarterback A. Matney. Will we see more of the same as it seems the Eagles have had no answer for the Option offense of the Dragons, or is this the year the Eagles finally win the Cow Bowl trophy. The Eagles are at home for this one and if I was the Dragons, I'd be angry coming off a loss to a very poor team in Taylor Co. I believe this one will be close. My heart is with the Dragons but I'm going Cville 28, GC 20 in a final.

As a fan, I just want to see Campbellsville play hard, smash mouth football to equal Green's aggressiveness... If they can do that, the Eagles win. If not, the Cow Patty trophy stays in Greensburg.

Campbellsville will win this game if k.young plays or not. Coach Jackson needs a few more years to get Green co roiling again.

Kendon is the best player campbellsville has had in recent memory. Is he the best ever at the school? Was Petie Spaulding better? How far back do you have to go? Chuck Vaughn?

Winterweather, that's a bold statement but one that may be well deserved but the Campbellsville faithful probably has their opinions on guys like Joel Thompson, Petie Spaulding, and Timmy Mayes (not 100% certain on my facts but believe he went on to set rushing records at Campbellsville University). These guys were between the years of 1987 thru 2001.

Those were 3 guys i thought of.

 

My go to source for Campbellsville thought Thompson and Spaulding were better. I was a bit surprised.

The mystery is that Cville was without RB Kendon Young. Young didn't play against LaRue last Friday for reasons unknown, so it will be interesting to see if he is in uniform against Green. If so, its not a contest and the Eagles roll big time over the Dragons. If Young doesn't play it doesn't change much as far as Cville still being the more talented team, but I do feel it will be much closer than expected against a hungry GC team coming off a loss that nobody saw come to TC. Should be an interesting match-up!

 

Even without Young no way Green should have beat Cville that bad.

 

As for young not playing maybe they are saving him for Green County.

The silver lining to this? Lord willing, he hasn't played his last football. His future is so bright. He's been touched with some gifts & he will definitely get to use them, again. Best wishes, Kendon.
