  1. The problem is as someone else stated no matter how bad a player is mom and dad think hes a D1 athlete. Then add on top of that they may win a few games in middle school and little against teams they don't play in high school, such as Central, Bell, Wayne, and Corbin. Josh has a name and regardless of his record as Head coach I'm sure he will get another shot, Heck it seemed that the Henderson job was his for the taking without any head coaching experience. If the majority of the people in the community still wanted him as head coach, yet the higher ups didn't want him that's a shame. As it would be if the higher ups decided to keep a coach the community wanted gone. And your right SEVERAL good coaches started their coaching career with awful records. Some go one to be a Mack Brown, Art Briles, or Sam Harp. Some also never get another chance to be a head coach. i'm hoping that Josh gets that chance to be a HC again.
  2. It's a tough situation and Jagger's 3 year record was 8-26 which isn't anything special. But some on here have said it's due to lack of talent, which I'm not close to that program so I don't have the inside info just going to numbers. Just from the outside looking in I just believe the folks of LaRue co. might have expected bigger things in the drop down to 3A. Also looking that Jagger's won 6 games and a playoff game his first year, and fallowed that up with a win less season. Then this past year only won 2. I hate it for him because he seemed to be a VERY hot name before even becoming a head coach and his named was mentioned for several jobs. I hope this doesn't prevent him from getting looks as he continues his coaching career.
  3. LaRue in the late 1990's and early 2000's played 2A ball in and was VERY successful. Then we it went to a 6 class system they jumped all the way to 4A, which seemed strange. The change in district will help as they should have more numbers than those teams, with the exception of maybe ETown. Jagger's had chances to leave so i can't see him wanting to leave, but maybe the people in charge feel it's best to head in a different direction.
  4. As someone also stated Welcome to Jefferson co. brother!! I've never played in, coached, or watched a game in Jefferson Co. were the away team was giving anything CLOSE to a fair game.
  5. Going with DeSales 21-17, hard to bet against DeSales this time of the year,
  6. Agree with the above post, after losing to Casey Co. don't think Adair can travel to PT and keep it close. I would predict a running clock.
  7. Although some will say this doesn't matter but the teams Campbellsbville have beat have a combined record of 25-52. Add on top Campbellsville have to travel all the way to Hazard. Running Clock!!!
  8. Well LCA had a kid rush for 317 yards against THIS year's Danville team.
  9. For the sake of keeping this post going last year against Danville Green Co. Evan Jaggers had 186 yards 4 Td's, 76 recieving yards and a TD. I agree Young is a very good football player and wish him nothing but the best
  10. Danville, Boyle, and Mercer (Harrordsburg) are on a different level for the fact they have won and/or played in multiple state championships. Green is working on a 2 win season and back to back losing seasons under this new coach. LaRue has a good tradition and excellent facilities, but they are looking at 2 wins in the past 2 seasons. Adair is better right now, but 2010 was the last time they played Adair beat Taylor 20-19 for Adair's only win. As for CKY I was talking about schools such as Adair, Campbellsville, Green, Hart, Metcalfe, LaRue, Casey, and Edmonson. As you get into Lexington and Hardin Co. schools you are dealing with a total different demographic of the student population.
  11. In most cases it's not the kids fault, it's the coaches and parent have a disagreement and the kid is forced to move. In most cases the kid would rather stay with his friends he's grew up around.
  12. Maybe they will build one of Dale Estes up there at Campbellsville WHEN he gets a win noteworthy! thought they would beat green got smacked, thought they could stay with Danville got smacked.
  13. Much like UK going to LSU and getting stomped we all know it will be growing pains. Much like UK Taylor has improved since Dudley came. And Marion Co. was 4-1 when Taylor beat them, so I believe Marion is a solid ball club. If they played 10 times yes Marion Co. would win most of the games I have no doubt about that. Taylor is improved just to be able to get lucky enough to stay close to Catholic no matter where the game was played. I don't know rather is hate for Dudley or love for coach Graves that keeps you from refusing to to give Dudley and Taylor co. any credit. In central KY area close to Taylor co. besides the Hardin co. schools which jobs would you consider that much better than Taylor? Green, Adair, Campbellsville, casey, LaRue?
  14. You don't think winning a district championship at Taylor Co. would be an accomplishment? As for the stats NOBODY is in denial of the fact that Taylor Co. has sucked I think everyone knows that. The point is that Taylor Co. can be turned around IF Dudley decides to stay they can turn into a good program. And with Boyle and Catholic leaving only helps them as the 2 dominate teams in that district are leaving.
  15. Do you think the Jessamine schools will be better than Boyle and Catholic?
  16. Taylor Co. will come off the money to keep him I believe, the question will be how much and who is willing to match or exceed that price tag. Taylor co. has a chance to win out with 3 winnable games to finish the season as well.
  17. Great post rebel! I agree Taylor isn't much different than Boyle when you like at the type of kids that make up the school and football team. The Boyle program grew because a coach was willing to invest in the program. Building a program starts at little league, and unless your in Louisville, Lexington, Bowling Green, or some other larger cities in Kentucky you are not going to have great talent yer in and year out. It takes a coach and coaching staff willing to work and put the hours in the program at all levels to be successful.
  18. Not to put words in anyone's mouth but I believe that is the point Option was trying to make. Taylor Co. has been so bad for some many years Hilton has showed that its a place you can win games. They won their 1st district game since they moved to this new district, make the playoffs, and could win 2 games. Also as stated above when you look at Taylor Co. kids it's not like physically they are over matched from the eye test, he even said they looked bigger than Boyle Co. And Catholic and Boyle moving district next year will help as well.
  19. What's the latest on the CHHS job search? Jaggers would be an excellent choice if he decides to leave. Perry did a wonderful job with CHHS and has made it a very appealing job IMO
  20. Any more news on who CHHS is looking to have replace Perry? Very tough to win in 6A, butbig school with Big numbers and Perry had them going in the right direction. Could be a job to draw a few names.
