I think most coaches are competitive, and with that they are competitive in all areas of their life. I think most "great coaches" walk in their building every day and they strive to be the best teacher they can be. Doing what your supposed to do, being where you are supposed to be when you are supposed to be there.

Maybe they should call over to North and get coach martin. I am sure he is rested up from his year off and ready to roll.

I believe they made a decision assuming they had their man. However once that fell apart they were/are scrambling.

I kind of think the Metro team pretty much dominated the game. The state team made a couple of nice completions to Catlett on their TD drive but after that there wasn't much offense. The surprising part of the game was the Metro team controling the line of scrimmage. I expected the state team to have an advantage on the LOS.

The schedule JH played will benefit them.

Take into account JH was without 4 starters, if they play and stay disciplined they are a tough out and will win the game. Their talent is off the charts! The schedule they played helps them!

You just described JH's offense to a T. They can run it, their QB is playing out of his mind. Should be a good one! Like JH in this one!

I think it would be tough for Collins or Franklin to overtake Spencer in the 3 way tiebreaker. Don't know for sure but I think Collins might have them on the young talent.

Spencer will bounce back this will be a huge night for their program. Don't know how it will play out but they will put forth a great, inspired effort! Spencer wins they have their first district title, they lose they could be a 4 seed. If Shelby wins they will play @ Collins for the district title the following week. I would venture a guess they will will have a packed house in Tville Friday night.

Great game plays being made on both sides. Franklin put up some Landrum threw for approximately 260, Vance ran for approx 210. Branden Leff for Spencer ran for 340. Great win for the Flyers.

There are so many variables that go in to freshman and JV. Some schools play no kids that play on Friday nights in underclassman games. Dont quote middle school championships and freshman record and translate to varsity success. JH will be fine they lost to an elite team in and then may not have played their best and lost. Not the end of the world.

Freshman and JV successes or failures have absolutely no bearing on Friday night successes or failures. It is crazy to even try and compare.

I am not saying BE will win, just the typical Collins elitist attitude. You reference Collins improving just wanted to point out that BE can improve also.

So is Collins the only team that can get better? Other teams have good coaches also and I would think BE classifies as having a proven head coach.

Just hope they don't play a varsity schedule for financial reasons. If the right decision is to buy out the contracts (which I believe it is) then they should do it and play JV only or freshman and JV.

I am hearing the decision will be made on or around August 1st. Do not believe they will play a varsity schedule.

Looks cheap, really appears to be very similar to the Rawlings. Just need to see how durable they are once you start using them.

Cobe Penny is the best player in the 8th region. Not up for debate! He just needs to bring it every night.

I really don't think people understand how the numbers in football are declining. Very successful schools having kids just out of the blue hang it up. Some to concentrate on other sports, others to just do other things. I don't know what the answers are, you can recruit the halls and say all the right but some times it just doesn't register with the kids.
