No I haven't but I am not the one criticizing a kids selection to a team.

Have you ever watched him play? Can't say whether he is top 3 back in the state or not haven't seen them all play. He is an exceptional back, he has all the tools, speed, quickness and durability he is pretty good. Again I never want to take away from any other players accomplishments but the kid can play!

The bad part about the team is that people will criticize kids they have never seen play. There is a very thin line separating alot of these kids. They all should be very proud of the recognition.

I am sure this team will generate a lot of discussion.

That is what makes it tough when these come out you can promote your coach/player without diminishing someone else. You are going to penalize John because he was knocked out by the state champ at their place. I think Clay would be deserving of the award but John is also very deserving.

Thought the class of the commonwealth was coming out today. It did not so I am not for sure when it will come out. Jason Frakes tweeted that the CJ all state team would be released on Tuesday.

Class of the Commonwealth in the Herald Leader will come out on Sunday. I am sure the Courier wanted to release theirs on a different day so both teams weren't released the same day.

Louisville team totally outclassed, Shelton was probably hit more today than he was all year.

Didn't say it had anything to do with where the game was played. The refs were absolutely awful both ways. As I said it was like they thought everyone was there to watch them blow their whistles. High school refereeing in many sports has reached an all time low, it is just really bad!

Ugly, Ugly game watch. The refs felt like we were there to watch them call fouls. Way to many fouls called and way too many free throws shot! I would bet the Danville point guard shot close to 20 free throws. Didn't change the outcome of the game but if you touched someone the whistle was blown.

That is awesome that they did that. Any coverage for high school football is great!

It had an affect on the game. Not saying NCC would have won, but it is inexcusable that high school officials can botch a call in that situation. Just really hard to believe that they could get it wrong.

It starts at the top within the Nelson school district. Very, very poor leadership from the super and BOE. It all goes a lot deeper than sports. The building of the second high school has financially strapped the district. The teachers are leaving the district at an alarming rate and no one asks questions. Hopefully at some point the people at the top will see this and rectify the problems. Just a district that has lost all of its pride!

Well he should fit right in with the dysfunctional bunch at UK!

Has Jacob showed back up? Given him a couple of days, he made a bold prediction that SW was overrated. Shelby has a really nice team, but SW is on a different level defensively.

SW is a different level on defense. Shelby will have a difficult time moving the ball, the question is can Shelby's defense continue to play at the level. I think this will be a challenge because they will match up against an offense that will spread them out creating running lanes for the QB. SW's defense will also be the most physical and fundamentally sound Shelby has faced.

Can't just throw the Franklin game out. How many teams has Shelby played that has spread the field on them? Don't really know what SW does offensively however spreading the Shelby defense out improves your chance to move the ball consistently.

I don't know if you can put alot of stock in the numbers from the Spencer game. Both of those coaches knew each other well, I think both teams were held to season low numbers. Defending the option will be a challenge for John but I think they will pull it out. Two very evenly matched teams the game will be decided by turnovers, just as last weeks game was.
