When are the new district alignments supposed to be released?

There is a retired coach in Etown that has a pretty stellar track record! Would he be interested? If so that is a no brainer!

Yes you are correct I put WC in district 2 twice. Should have been south warren.

4A District 1 - Calloway County, Hopkins County Central, Madisonville, Logan Co., Hopkinsville 4A District 2 - Franklin-Simpson, Allen County Scottsville, Warren Central, Warren East, South Warren 4A District 3 - Breckenridge County, John Hardin, Marion County, Taylor County 4A District 4 - Valley, Western, Collins, North Oldham, Spencer County 4A District 5 - Mercer County, East Jessamine, West Jessamine, Franklin County, Bourbon County 4A District 6 - Rockcastle County, Wayne County, Russell County, Clay County, Knox Central 4A District 7 - Covington Holmes, Mason County, Rowan County, Scott, Harrison County 4A District 8 - East Carter, Ashland, Greenup County, Boyd County, Johnson Central Could be some question with Bourbon County they could go north but for district balance I sent them with Central KY district. Rowan would fit better with District 8 but sent them north for balance. Looking at this 4A west is far more difficult! Feel free to comment and suggest adjustments.

Why would any team want out of 4a? It is wide open!

It was 20-0 washington at half. WC has a couple really nice players in QB Churchill and RB Bias.

How in the world does a 6-23 Thomas Nelson team get in this tourney. Just curious I thought they invited top teams in regions.

I would also check with the KHSAA, I know in respect to Thomas Nelson they don't even have them listed for the 2013 season. I would think that would be a KHSAA issue that they get them in the data base.

I guess it depends on what list you look at but the local paper said the district ranked 18th in the state. Regardless of that it is a phenomenal district which takes care of their people once people get there they don't want to leave. Pay and work climate make it a great situation, very strong leadership from the superintendent down.

Bardstown is a top performing school district. I may be wrong but I believe they are a top 20 academic school district.

Not my place to break news, I didn't start it I am just confirming I would expect some sort of public announcement soon or at least the cat will be out of the bag. However he will be at a top level school district, and potentially involved with a football program with multiple state championships. I think this job meets a lot of his needs as far as working on his retirement and also being near his family.

You are correct North has played Collins pretty tough and Spencer had them on the ropes last year. This senior group at Collins is extremely talented. I don't think either North or Spencer can challenge Collins this year. However those are 3 solid teams that make up a nice district.

Spencer did in fact graduate several seniors from last year. There are several pieces coming back most notable running backs Shawn Boykin and Logan Holbrook. Their defense has been solid for a couple of years so I would anticipate it to be solid again. They were 5-7 in 2011 and 7-4 last year and believe they will continue the upward trend. Collins is the clear #1 team in district and North Oldham and Spencer will battle for the runner up spot.
