Those sneaky KHSAA guys, they posted it and didn't announce it anywhere, sneaking it in during the Sweet 16 and NCAA Tournament.

Covington Catholic and Highlands played up to 5A. IT. IS. ON.

(Johnson Central wisely stayed down. Must've gotten good intel.)

Add Dixie Heights to the CCH/Highlands district. That makes it a little more fun. Boone County declined to move down to 5A.

Cooper and Conner go up to 6A so I assume now that district will be the 4 Boone County high schools, Campbell Co. and Simon Kenton. That is a 6 team district. Does SK move down to Scott County's district?

It is going to be interesting to see who joins Scott (who accepted moving down to 4A) and Holmes in their 4A district. I am thinking Mason Co. will be with them. Maybe Harrison Co.? Or maybe it is a 3 team district?

No moves by any smaller class schools.

It is going to be interesting to see how they set up the new districts.

Who else gets added to CCH/Highlands/Dixie? Grant County? After that, looks like the next closest might be Oldham County.

That will really change Harrison's district with Cov. Cath. and Highlands moving up. (Thank God!) I wonder if they make a Harrison, Bourbon, Franklin, East Jess., West Jess. district or keep the Breds up north with maybe Scott, Holmes, and Mason.

Hey Bowling Green....they're back. :jump:

Mayfield to 2A...guessing the folks in Hazard, Beechwood and Williamsburg will be cheering!

It will be interesting to see how they do NKY 6A now that there are six teams in 6A. Ryle/SK might be put into a district with Scott County or SK with Scott County and Ryle with a Louisville district.

I'd imagine they'd add Grant County and then walk away with a four team district. When I looked at it before, I had South Oldham going with the Louisville schools, and I think that sticks.

Bowling Green. Highlands. 2015. It is so on.

They may only have a four team district.

Bowling Green. Highlands. 2015. It is so on.

IMO it will be CCH/BG in 2015, with both teams being defending state champs.

5A west got a lot more complicated. Christian County, Graves County, and Marshall County will be a district. Bowling Green and Greenwood will be paired. Owensboro and Apollo will be paired you'd think. Barren County is available to pair with BG & Greenwood. But that leaves two sets of threes and only the Owensboro schools to split. Could they possibly send the Owensboro schools west and Christian County east?

Just because a team petitioned to move up doesn't mean the KHSAA has to let them in the final alignment does it?

Yeah, I would guess Grant County. Oldham County will likely be with South Oldham and Shelby County, maybe a Louisville school also?

You can book it that the 4 Boone County schools are in a district together. Campbell Co. almost has to be in that district also. I see SK moving south to the Scott County district.
