Ball State in the MAC is not Division I???

Since it wasn't even the main point of the thread, you seem a little sensitive; I guess as a member, you would be!

Only the teams who make excuses for losing to schools with tradition!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so...40% of KY high school players that made it to the NFL didn't play D1 College football??????

Boy did you NAIL that one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hire a young dynamic coach with a wide-open offense and a fly-around blitz-happy defense that can recruit his own school.

Win IN the SEC; I know they'll never outright win the SEC; they upset everyone else; I'd settle for an occasional upset over Florida or Tennessee.

..40% not play D1 football are in the NFL as OL; no chance that is accurate!

Is Towles being recruited as a QB? (I haven't seen him play, so I am not insulting his ability to play the position). If so, can UK win in the SEC with him at QB???

You are making a backhanded insult to the Ft. Thomas faithful and making excuses for your football program.

The passion demonstrated in this thread for the future 9th grade team at Highlands is not shown for some team's varsity squads!!!!!!!!

Highlands' draw has been earned, by winning state titles and succeeding in the classroom. They shouldn't be penalized and it shouldn't be implied that it is UNFAIR; other programs should take note, not complain; tradition takes time; it is not achieved over night.

Check out post #1.

Again, we have people on here making excuses and pointing fingers instead of looking in the mirror at how they can improve their program!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As long as that happens, H & T will continue to separate themselves from everyone else in the state!!!!!!! Go Birds and Go Rocks!

Plenty of schools are bigger than Highlands, but they don't stand a chance between the white lines; enrollment is NOT the answer- JUST AN EXCUSE and a reason teams that make them will continue to 2nd rate!!!!

What do football programs need to do RIGHT NOW to close the gap with the best teams in the state- Mayfield, NCC, Central, & Boyle included! I say: 1) Begin developing a youth program where playing time for all particiapants is mandatory 2) Recruit their own school- talk to kids about the fun of playing high school football 3) Develop off season speed & agility program- everyone lifts weights now, but speed is what separates the champs from the chumps 4) Plan Spring Practice and plan Spring Game- This is one area where Highlands separates themselves- they are in August game ready when Spring Practice is over 5) Plan June & July- teams should fine tune their systems in this time before they put on the pads in August 6) Develop a passing game plan- teams that want to be great have to be able to run and pass 7) Schedule quality teams that will challenge them, show them their weaknesses, without beating them up physically What else???

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What separates the 2?

3 classes would be ideal for football in KY, but the KHSAA has never thought about what is ideal for football in KY!

I know Trinity won the scrimmage but that was in August. Highlands has gotten healthy throughout the season and their 38-0 win was less impressive than Highlands 50-0 win over a team many, including the GURU of all people, thought could beat this "mediocre" Highlands team. Obviously Highlands is better; Trinity even struggled a bit with Ryle last week. So who would win if they played next Friday on a neutral field???

Would this be a game this season, or another blowout by the Birds?

How tall? How big? How fast? How quick? How strong is Washington?

What position does he play?

Did NCC even have to throw it at all?

How do ACS and Boyle compare to Mayfield and NCC?
