  1. Can Mayfield compete with Beechwood next year????
  2. How many seniors contribute for NCC?
  3. That is surprising for OH, usually not blowouts. How is the Div II game going??
  4. It sounds perfect; the only thing I would be careful is trying to predict what positions players are best at at such a young age; you just can't tell how young kids are going to develop in the size or speed category and who will work the hardest in the weight room; it can't hurt to try to put them in the right position, but sometimes it just might not work out. The one thing I would definitley try is putting the best athlete at QB; running QB's that can throw are the biggest nightmare defensive coordinators could ever face.
  5. Have you ever heard Dale Mueller speak??? Talk about sounding like a "used car salesman?" But guess what??? The kids love him, they believe what he tells them, and they win big time; he easily is the best in NKY; the man can flat out coach football!!!! Brossart no doubt has been improving on the field, so he must be something right; the kids are producing.
  6. Was it '95 when they lost to Bowling Green with Justin Frisk as a junior I think??? This year, their experience can't go unnoticed; playing in big games and expecting to win and knowing how to win (no TO's and no mental mistakes) are invaluable tools; the Birds will pull out a close one.
  7. It all started with a dynamic coach named Kerry Combs, just like Boyle's success started with Chuck Smith; they knew how to build a program from the ground up, sold it to the community; the community bought in and the results are undeniable!
  8. You can find plenty of homes in Ft. Thomas that are affordable and livable for whatever price you can afford, if that is where you want to send your kids to school!
  9. I know; it is lunacy; I also just learned that the Ft. Thomas league plays 10 games and has no playoffs; just another good decision so that ALL the boys get maximum development and no one is left out; when will the rest of NKY get a clue?????(and the state for that matter)
  10. Bingo!!!! That is why Highlands is the best in NKY almost every single year, regardless of size. It is amazing to me; this stuff is not rocket science; get as many kids playing as possible and having fun and develop them all; then you will have more good varsity players when the time comes!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. It will all depend on if the teams develop all the players or if 12-15 players play both ways...
  12. How does Coach Styer compare to his predecessor Coach Schlarman??
  13. I have nothing bad to say about Coach Rash, but many, many coaches are passionate, have heart, and care for their players; I don't know how anyone would separate who has the most???? I will say that since 6 classes have been added, every class is a bit watered down, and for whatever reason, Beechwood is not getting the talent they once did; I have no idea why; I am not close enough to the situation to comment; they did win the big school frosh championship 2 seasons ago and many expected big things from them that have not materialized; maybe next season will be the year that class puts it all together as Seniors. Beechwood did domate a Class A field, when there was only 4 classes; I haven't examined it closely, but I would guess looking from afar that that was a tougher field, including teams like NCC and Danville.
  14. If Ryle gets their youth football program in order, developing many, many kids, rather than only 13-15 per team, like the Boone County system, then they could be an elite every year like Trinity and X.
  15. Ru, I know Ru, he loves us !!!!!!(with apologies to Animal House).
  16. I didn't get it until post #24, hrcarrier mentioning him by name.
  17. I'm lost; what am I not telling the truth about? Like I said, I was not smart enough to figure out the poster was talking about Yeagle; I just read it and went on. Your comment, "Go root for the team he is coaching for..." seemed harsh toward him; I still have not idea what can of worms you are talking about...just slow I guess.
  18. My response about a guilty conscience was to qs, why are you responding to that?????? hmmmmmmmm
  19. I didn't interpret anything; you read into the "I miss M.Y.", which most people wouldn't even realize who that was about; I guess I'm slow, but I didn't until you mentioned him by name. The rest of what you are talking about, I am not smart enough to figure out. "Fake wave" whatever; I try to be friendly to all my neighbors.
  20. How many points will these two score?????
  21. It still is "illegal procedure:" All Tell is correct in post #44, it covers many infractions including "false start."
  22. How does '10 CC compare to '08?????
  23. assuming what you interpreted is accurate, which is a big stretch! Mike Yeagle has touched a lot people's lives, way beyond the game of high school football.
  24. Proud to have no class; that speaks volumes. Sounds like you are little sensitive; you read waaaaayyyyyyyyyy more into that comment than anyone on BGP. Mike was the best coach in KY, but you and hrcarrier are the only ones suggesting Yeagle could have made a difference in tonight's outcome; sounds like a guilty conscience to me.
  25. Actually rotating the fists around each other is an illegal procedure signal; there is no specifc signal for false start, unless they move one hand out from the chest which is illegal motion, or both hands out from the chest, which is illegal shift.
