  1. If they are good, they should at least go 9-2!
  2. Did I see Holy Cross Beat Dixie Heights 60-44 last night?????
  3. If one team wins every game, where's the rivalry? It is a lopsided deal where everyone knows who is going to win!
  4. Your question compares apples to oranges. Colleges recruit and a player is more likely to change positions to go to a bigger, better school than a smaller one. I can understand not wanting to transfer again, but I hardly think a player not good enough at one position at Ryle is going to go to Elder and expect to be the best at that same position.... My point is that there is probably more to the story than just not getting to play the position he wanted.
  5. Why leave a school because you are not getting to play the position you want..... and then change positions anyway??????
  6. If one team wins every game, that is not a rivalry...
  7. ...so he changed positions for Elder but wouldn't do it for Ryle???
  8. It hasn't been much of a "rivlary".....
  9. IF that is true, Ryle should have been able to find a spot for him if Elder did....
  10. It depends, if 7,8, & 9 are not playing much because 1-6 is so strong, then that is an okay situation, but if it is because 7-9 just aren't good enough to provide rest and maintain the level of play, then that is a problem....
  11. Because Highlands is still King of the Mountain in NKY!
  12. Sorry, I was misinformed, but CPS did earn the highest rating of any Urban district in the state- effective, just below excellent.
  13. CPS still has the highest graduation rate of any urban district in the state of Ohio!!!!
  14. Did Lasalle lose that much? They were arguably the best team in the GCL last season, despite the upset loss to Elder; I thought they had some DI recruits returning....
  15. I can offer what some real stats that I believe will answer your question. The school's current enrollment is 487, which is considerably down from the expectations when the built the new school. The new school can hold 600 students. I do believe that the cost to attend CCH ($6,500/year - tuition only) is a factor, but not the reason why some sports are not as consistent as the fan base would want them to be. There is a growing concern that if the enrollment continues to drop (487 is lowest) that the school is going to face some major financial hurdles in the future. I believe the pool of talent is still at the school. Any reasons why the enrollment is down other than the economy??? There was a time in the late '90's and early '00's when I thought CCH was going to flat out dominate football, basketball, baseball, and soccer for that matter and it just hasn't happened; that is the reason for the original question.
  16. I read it on BGP; it can't be wrong!
  17. They should not be playing Lasalle; otherwise the big school additions and maintaining Dixie makes it a good schedule; no NCC is a surprise.
  18. Sorry I was just used to seeing CCH win State Championships and Regional Championships in the appropriate sports. I was also very surprised to hear the CCH faithful arguing over why the basketball team was only playing 6 seniors; I remember when Listerman would run out 10 guys and press and run the entire game...seems like a dramatic change
  19. Sorry, I know they are very good in soccer, golf, swimming, etc., but I was looking at what most consider the 3 major sports. I thought someone might offer some perspective on if the economy has hurt the talent pool that was there not that long ago.
  20. No, I was hearing it from someone who saw them in person; I was just shocked to see them lose 2 in a row; I don't know enough to pick anyone.
  21. Do you confidently believe they'll win the region then??? Is that what "fine" means?
  22. I had heard great things about CCH basketball this year, about their size and talent, but then they lose 2 straight to Holmes and NCC and it doesn't look like they will be able to win the region again this year. Football has struggled for 4 years as well. Baseball has been the best, but has still not been able to win the Regional Title recently. In the '90's CCH won State Championships in football and Regional Titles regularly, at least it seemed, in baseball and basketball. What has changed at CCH?
  23. I agree totally; the point was just trying to set the "facts" straight since he was being accused of hiring his friends; the part about not coaching the defensive kids when they came off the field is silly as well.
  24. No worries, just trying to clarify. I would also argue that scholarships to EKU and the other former Div I-AA schools are still Div I scholarships.
  25. Here we go again with supposed "facts" that are completely false all due to PHM. The defensive coordinator under Coach Brossart was not a friend, neither was the d-line coach, nor the LB coach, nor the DB coach. As a matter of fact, Coach Brossart had not even met the DC, the D-line coach, or the DB coach until he interviewed them.
