As of last week they were still trying to fill week 8, which could be Desales or Bell Co.

I was told there first game was against Dixie but the TOG posted it was Campbell Co.

I do not have the weeks but here is the teams I was told who are on the schedule.

Dixie

Campbell Co.

Boone Co.

Beechwood

Harrison Co.

Pendleton Co.

Highlands

Holmes

LaSalle

Add Conner and you have 10 games. I know that HHS, Holmes, La Salle and Beechwood are at home while Pendleton Co and Harrison Co, Dixie and Campbell are away. Not sure if Conner is at home or if Boone is at home!

A softer schedule than what Cov. Cath. has been playing historically. Not saying that is a bad thing.

I know at some point or another Lex Cath was in the discussion. Not sure if that was dropped, but they were on the table for a time.

I pretty much agree with you. If you look at the schedules from the late 80's and the 90's when we put away 5 of our 6 state titles, our schedules were very similar. We competed amongst the "bigger" NKY schools and kept interstate competition to one game per season (I believe we started interstate play against Moeller in the '91 season).

I think, particularly for a program that's working on building back to its strength from years past, that the idea of assembling a schedule that will afford you more wins and little-to-no lopsided losses, but still challenges your team enough to have to come out and play their best every week is definitely a good thing.

Man, I was looking forward to the bus trip to Bell Co.

I would say Boone is at home, because they where looking for 5 and 5.

I had heard Conner was on, then off but Boone was on.

At the Cooper game Saturday I was told about Bell or DeSales and it would br away

I do like the schedule, 1 GCL game with a team I believe they can beat.

The district is also larger this year than it has been the last few years, which means Covington Catholic had fewer open dates to fill. They appear to have done a nice job getting solid programs from a close range, which should be good for competitiveness and exciting for the fans. I'd suspect a little better record for the Colonels than they've had the last couple years.

They should not be playing Lasalle; otherwise the big school additions and maintaining Dixie makes it a good schedule; no NCC is a surprise.

This is a great schedule, in my opinion. What CCH was trying to bite off in recent years was just too much, IMO. This one looks great... not too soft and not too demanding.

They tried, but because of district play couldn't get it done and La Salle is a very winnable game next year!
