I'm not sure either, but with Lynn Ray, Tim Hobbs, and Ray Michael all standing around for the conversation, nobody was saying, "No, we're playing Conner."

Conner is playing at CCH this year.

It will be the battle of former BCPWFL qb's.

Barker and Bir were on the same team, Longhorns. The year before that Beechwood's Davis and CCH's Bir were teammates on the Longhorns.

The recent qbs off of that team, West, Alford, Rigdon, Hempel, Bir, Davis, and Barker. Not to mention Davontae Bradley.

Nice list of QB's there. Would you say it was drafting philosophy (i.e. get a top QB first), good drafting or good coaching?

I think I would have to say whoever was drafting had a very keen eye for talent. That is quite a list. How many have or will be moving on to play college football? One word comes to mind………….impressive.

BCPWFL has produced 3 of the last 5 QB's at CovCath

Drew Ellision played in the BCPWFL not sure for who.

Brayden Erpenbeck played for the Jaguars, leading them to the '03", I think, superbowl as a 7th grader against the Longhorns

and Bir

If St. Henry ever decided to have football, that would be a big hit to CCH. Not necessarily in number of players but in loss of high quality players.

Ellision and Erpenbeck were St. Agnes kids, both lived in Ft. Wright.

I agree they would lose a good group of kids

Sssssshhh! Not so loud.

I've always like playing New Cath, although I there was a 5 or 6 year stretch starting around '94 or '95 where the New Cath game was dropped as well. Not sure why you don't think they should be playing LaSalle though. I don't see a problem with scheduling one of the "big boys" from Cincinnati - particularly when, historically, they've played more closer games against LaSalle than they have with most of the other GCL teams they've taken on.

Semantics, but NewCath and CovCath stopped playing from at least '90-'01

Absolutely "Yes" to all three questions.
