New Head coach Kevin Siple?

Would seem likely that is why Kevin came as an assistant last year. Best wishes to Troy. Truly a nice man.

Coach Styer did a very nice job at Campbell County, best wishes!. My guess for next coach would be Dan Wagner. He works in the school system and got stiffed by NCC when they chose Eviston. He may still be a little bitter about that and his son is no longer a student up on the hill.

A lot of good asst in NKY that could be HC's. This job will be attractive to a lot of good coaches. I wouldn't be handing it over to someone just yet. Great job coach Styer!!!

Good luck to a great man. Thanks, Coach.

Coach Styer is a great man and coach, the Camels are losing a good one. All the best to Troy and his family.

Good Luck and nice job coach Styer. Now lets get the administration to let a football coach be able to make decisions and not vocal parents.

I believe Coach Siple began his coaching career at CC and he will end it there. Siple would do very well at CC with guys like Doug Miller and perhaps Wagner around him. Nobody can air it out and run the West Coast offense like the Coach Siple coached teams. Good luck to Coach Styer

Are you sure this will be attractive to alot of good coaches? There slowly starting to improve but there still needs to be alot of changes. For instance the youth football program, losing is not acceptable at the High School level. I just don't see how this is attractive to some of the better coaches.

Agreed. But CC isnt a school or a program that can afford to hire an assistant at this point in time unless of course that would be Weinrich of Highlands and that wont happen.

CC is in desperate need to continue the path that Styer has paved and build off of his direction. CC open position deserves someone with some serious Head coaching experience and that fits Siple and perhaps Lickert of Holmes?

The best thing that could happen to CC is start their own Jr Football League and not count on Red Devils as their feeder system.

The youth program is in place for several years now and they have several teams per grade similar to the Ft. Thomas Jr league except you have to be enrolled in a CC school to be able to play in the league. It will be attractive to some but unless it's changed what will keep the majority of good candidates away is how non-supportive of football the administration has been in the past and how they let outside factors steer the football program. I know when Schlarmen left he was told by an administrator that the administrator didn't care about athletics.

I disagree, I know of at least one assitant with head coaching experience that would be very well qualified plus he played at CCHS if he were interested.

I don't believe that Wagner was stiffed. Eddie has shown that he is a rising star. Wagner is a GREAT coach. It was a great dilemma for Detzel to have when making the hire. Wagner has been fantastic like always this year, and would be a great hire for CC if both parties chose that path. However, if he did do that, I don't believe that there would be bad blood. If anything, he would have left last year after the hire.

Dont doubt this one bit. But sometimes to get the program to really move fwd it is sometimes best to hire outside for obvious reasons that you probably are aware of. Tends to be not as much pressure to succeed or perform under the watchful eyes of peers. The "I owe this program nothing other than 110%" sometimes works better than the favorite qualified alum.
