Could not agree more with you. He is no coach in my book as well. For those who are aware of what was happening during the season with him, you could actually say he quit after the Boone game because his support for the program had declined tremendously.

Didn't coach Styer take this job on short notice when there were some problems a few years back? Maybe he stayed longer than he tought.

Might Mark Goetz be talked into taking this job over for a second time? I think that he is getting that itch to get back into coaching at the high school level.

I don't believe that Wagner was stiffed. Eddie has shown that he is a rising star. Wagner is a GREAT coach. It was a great dilemma for Detzel to have when making the hire. Wagner has been fantastic like always this year, and would be a great hire for CC if both parties chose that path. However, if he did do that, I don't believe that there would be bad blood. If anything, he would have left last year after the hire.

 

I still believe Wags was stiffed. Coach Eviston has done a great job and I'm not sure that Coach Wagner could have done any better, but i still think Dan should have been the one chosen to lead the Breds. Dan is a class act and will do what is right for the kids that he loves. He would not hold a grudge at the expense of a student or athlete. If he would chose to leave the Breds, I think it would be for a head coaching position only, I'm sure NCC would give him their blessing. He would be a loss to that program and a huge plus to wherever he would go. As I mentioned earlier, Dan is in a different position in his life now and his goals may have changed. We will see what happens!!

CC alumn, standout player, All-American @ UD, longtime CC teacher, 6 year varsity football coach, bleeds CC Purple, great dad & husband. We all know that a varsity HC position is a 24-7 commitment. Troy has 4 girls growing up right before his eyes. He understands the value of family and the toll that a head coaching position has on one's personal life. Coach Styer went out on his own terms and left the program in good shape overall. He is a quality man!

Totally unfair to Coach Siple! You sound as if you are speaking with some level of authority concerning the events of this past season. Kevin is a quality person and good coach. He had great success honing his coaching skills under Beechwood's Bernie Barre years ago and brought Indian Hill to a level of prominence as head coach.

Knowing Kevin Siple to be a good coach and a good man, I'm quite sure all of this is a matter of misinformation or just plain nonsense.

Memyselfandi, you seem to know much about what was going on. So, was Coach Siple the one cussing at players? Was he the one who would tell players that he would rather be drinking beer when things were not working? Was he the one who put the offense or defense in? NO HE WAS NOT. He was the best coach they have had in many years, but was not putting up with a bunch of youth coaches who care about one kid and only one kid.

Depends on your definition of enough.

We played the Camels in 2007 & 2008. Both times I thought they were well coached and well prepared. Coach Styer is a good guy and good coach. I wish him the best.
