I would like to see who applies for the job. The Administration is joke, they only attend for the most part Football games. Ask them about the other sports, maybe they show up Senior night, maybe not, but come on, there other Athletes who put the Blood and Sweat into their performance. Getting a good coach here will be hard, even harder to keep. Coach Styer stepped up and bailed out the old Principal. The only way to keep a qualified coach is to hire new Administrators. They are building new facilities, but that money has been there for years, do not let Baby Huey and Miss Piggy tell you that it is their work to get these facilities under way, I believe that since the New High School has been put on hold, they have to use these funds or lose them.

The Camels have a youth football league of their own. I believe it stops at the fifth grade level maybe sixth. Then they are all crammed into middle school football. I would like to see it go through eight grade level, where you have the chance to develop so many more players per position, ie; Highlands football. Love'em or hate'em the Highlands system works, and makes a coaches job easier.

 

Thanks. I did not know this. Why? does this stop at 5th grade, makes no sense to me. Is this because it would cause number problems for Red Devils? Like you said Love'em or hate'em Highlands does their entire system within and never encourages "Club" play. I personally believe the day the Red Devils goes defunct is the day the CC football program begins its rise. Sorry to all of the Red Devil faithful but its not working.

The real joke are posters like you that contribute nothing positive to the process. You pay your $15 annual fee to BGP's and lower yourself to name calling under the shroud of a screen name.

 

CC now has a real opportunity (and a little more time this go round) to dig in and find a long term coach that will build upon Troy's program and take the Camels to the next level.

 

C'mon.....be part of the solution instead of the alleged problem!

Good luck to Coach Styer on whatever he does and to the next coach coming in.

Styer should be commended for stepping in and achieving what he did. I'm sure its tough not being home with his daughters and wife. Although having 5 women in the house might keep me on the gridiron withe a whistle in my mouth.

What about Doug Miller being the next head coach? I know his Freshman teams were very successful. I think he would be a great fit.

What about Steve Hensley, formerly of Ludlow and Taylor? Isn't he the new AD at CC?

Get rid of the Administration, the Superindtendent, and some of the current board members and Campbell County will go a long way. One board member kids go to Beechwood, remember who voted her in. Another board member does not even make 1/3 of the meetings, the Superintendent is joke, and the High School Principal is as pathetic as they come. Ask her how many times has she watch the sports prgrams and the same goes for Strong. They might show up at a big game or meet, but for the most part they are no where to be found. Ask them what Senior Nights they attended and shook the hands of the athletes.

 

Coach Styer did a good job, but there was some issues with disipline over the years, he had some coaches that were good coaches and some that were awful. He was put into a situation when he took the job and has poured a foundation to help get the ship moving again. Hopefully they can get someone that has no ties with the County and really make it a great program.

 

As for name calling, calling me a joke is fine, I can take it. But you know that I speak the truth.
